arraybolt3Looking...05:59
arraybolt3You might look in the Notifications section of System Settings, but I'm not finding anything about Snapd in my System Settings over here. Might be because I don't use Firefox and so haven't ever had Snapd gripe at me, but I don't know that for sure.06:01
nonno snapd related settings for me either, thanks for the help btw much appreciated06:04

iomari891greetings, is there a ubuntu pto for kubuntu?09:16
iomari891greetings, is there a ubuntu pto for kubuntu?09:21
iomari891sorry for the duplicate09:21
arraybolt3[m]I see no reason why enabling Ubuntu Pro wouldn't work on Kubuntu, however I wouldn't expect it to give a full 10 years of support for Kubuntu since the KDE stuff in Ubuntu is managed by the community and the community provides three years of support per release. It might increase the security of some applications, however.09:40
iomari891arraybolt3[m]: understood. Thnaks10:03
iomari891thanks. damn typos.10:03
iomari891my clipboard is driving me insane. It copies everything I highlight without me explicitly choosing "copy". Also it overwrites anything I have explicitly put on the clipboard. Non of the settings have any affect on this behavior. Im pulling my hair out even though I'm bald.10:13
arraybolt3[m]Even "Ignore selection"?10:21
arraybolt3[m]And I know the answer to this is almost certainly "yes", but you are remembering to click "Apply" or "OK", right?10:22
iomari891arraybolt3[m]: no "ignore selection" option. ANd "yes" I applied.10:31

arraybolt3iomari891: Hmm, what version of Kubuntu are you using?10:46
iomari89122.0410:47
iomari891update: apply button stays greyed out even when I change settings10:53
iomari891where are the clipboard settings stored? Maybe it's a permission issue.10:57

user|91Kubuntu23:51
valorie?23:51
user|91Does anyone know23:52
valorieDo you mean can you buy Ubuntu Pro, add KDE software, and remove the gnome stuff?23:52
valorieEverything we package is available to anyone23:52
valorieand will work with any flavor of ubuntu23:52
user|91Ubuntu pro is free for desktop users not for server side23:52
valorieOK, that doesn't make a diff23:53
user|91Im just wondering if buy activating it do you get the same updates on any desktop version you would use with it23:53
valoriebut I doubt you can take a regular Kubuntu install and "ubuntu pro-ify" it23:54
valorieuser|91: I'm not aware of anyone who has tested that so far23:54
valorieI imagine most of their updates would be to the gnomey software23:55
valorienot the underlying system23:55
valorieand that underlying system is what we all share23:55
valorieall flavors of Ubuntu23:55
user|91Well i activated it on one laptop thata running kubuntu 22.04 the kernel it is using is stuck using and old one cause of hardware it said to use ubuntu pro to continue supportt23:55
valorieok, there's your answer23:56
valorieso you can use ubuntu pro and add the KDE software you want23:56
valoriebut it will not be Kubuntu23:56
user|91Im just hoping when i go to update it does not switch me to gnome deaktop and install ubuntu vanilla23:57
valorieit probably will, but maybe not?23:57
valorieI would ask that team23:58
valorienot us23:58
user|91From what i gather its suppose to supportt the core kernel and security updates23:59
valoriethey don't seem to have a chan on irc23:59
