DrDekeI have a possibly-silly question: I run a normal (non-country) Ubuntu archive mirror for my own use, and for public use. It does get some public traffic, and I am curious as to why. The installer defaults to either archive.ubuntu.com or a country mirror, right? 22:43

DrDekeIs all of my traffic coming from people who have chosen to use mirror:// in their sources list, manually selecting a mirror, or using something like netselect? 22:44
ravageis your mirror listed on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors ?22:44
DrDekeyeah22:44
ravagethen thats people that chose your mirror from that list22:45
DrDeke(To be clear, I welcome the public use of this; I am just curious as to how people end up using it) 22:45
DrDekeahh ok 22:45
DrDekeI am mildly surprised that this many people bother :) 22:45
ravagethe old installer also had a list included that let you select a mirror22:45
ravagei dont think the new installer offers that choice but it has been a while22:45
DrDekeYeah, I think the current installer just asks you to type one in if you want something other than the default. Anyway, thanks for the info / sanity-check :) 22:47
