[00:30] Hi! === crystal__ is now known as bottlebob [00:57] Hello all. I have a quick question regarding RDP support for Kubuntu. Does it support the built in Gnome 42 remote desktop feature? [05:22] Shall we talk?) [10:59] Can i play Assassin's Creed in kubuntu 22.04? [11:00] Can i play Assassin's Creed in kubuntu ? [11:56] Can i play Assassin's Creed on kubuntu ? === cat is now known as Guest4018 [12:52] hello guys [12:55] there is the possibility of just connecting a computer and making it boot over the network. from another computer it recognizes the one that was connected and starts to pass an image automatically? [13:31] You can probably use PXE and Clonezilla. I've used them before to boot a server and copy a disk image. [13:51] labhane: see https://ltsp.org [13:52] If you follow https://ltsp.org/docs/installation/ you should be ready in 10 minutes with the chrootless method [13:54] Hi all [15:05] This is the name for the motherboard. Where can you find them? Or is it too old that you can no longer find it? (re @SA: ) [15:14] @SA, sudo dmidecode --type baseboard [15:30] 22.10 - I have a new laptop battery that is only charging to 88% now. I've tried a number of tips but nothing has worked. What would solve the issue? [17:11] alkisg1 thanks [18:02] R13ose: You may want to try a battery reset. [18:03] R13ose: See 3rd answer here: https://kfocus.org/wf/battery-reset.html#bkm_troubleshooting [18:03] mmikowski: I tried a couple of ways. Which one do you suggest? [18:04] See that link. The idea is to *completely* drain the battery without OS protections. Then recharge. That can reset the capacity to 100%. [18:04] Thanks I will try that [18:05] In my experience with perhaps 6 batteries, it has worked around 75% of the time. [18:05] Especially with new batteries that have hardly been used. [18:07] Good to know. [18:13] R13ose: Good luck. Please let me know if it helped! [18:13] Well do [21:02] mmikowski: now says 86% not charging. I did see this say charging when I unplugged and plugged back in. [21:03] If I do upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0 the state says pending-charge. [21:03] R13ose: Hmmm. Did you run the battery down to 0? [21:04] I followed the instructions and waited 2 hours 5 mins. [21:05] The pending-charge state is new to me. That sounds like a BIOS option. Some systems FlexiCharge it will not charge the system over a specific percentage. This preserves battery health (100% charges reduces battery life). [21:08] One line says capacity: 100%. Does that mean this could get up to 100%? [21:09] R13ose: Well thats my best guess. At this point, I'd search around for that message. This https://askubuntu.com/questions/1375960 indicates it might be a GUI issue. [21:11] R13ose: I'm not an expert, but it appears capacity correlates with 'battery health'. [21:11] If that is so, then 100% capacity = 100% battery health. [21:12] Thanks [21:15] yw!
