[15:13] Eickmeyer: aparently HoustonPatchbay has already been fixed but patchance may be using an older version. See https://github.com/Houston4444/HoustonPatchbay/issues/2 and https://github.com/Houston4444/RaySession/issues/147 [15:13] -ubottu:#ubuntustudio-devel- Issue 2 in Houston4444/HoustonPatchbay "Device ports over 9 are displayed differently" [Open] [15:13] -ubottu:#ubuntustudio-devel- Issue 147 in Houston4444/RaySession "Invalid names displayed for ports in porgroups with num index over 10" [Closed] [15:17] OvenWerks: Good to know. Might be able to downstream patch it, or wait until the next version gets released. [16:02] Eickmeyer: I looked at the fix and there is another similar problem I think is not yet fixed. [16:02] https://github.com/Houston4444/HoustonPatchbay/issues/2 [16:02] -ubottu:#ubuntustudio-devel- Issue 2 in Houston4444/HoustonPatchbay "Device ports over 9 are displayed differently" [Open] [16:02] if you look at the bottem screen shot I just sent [16:03] The code fix deals with finding "AUX" specifically [16:03] this last thing is the problem with mixing pulse and jack into one thing called pipewire [16:04] jack users really do not want to see all the interior workings of the pulse part of things. [16:04] He could come back and say he doesn't support using it under Pipewire. [16:05] I don't have a problem with that but the AUX thing is really no different and we all know that jack users will be using pw by default in not too many years [16:06] PW will be there in any distro and running as jack already, to get real jack will require both instalation of new sw as well as system hacking to get it running [16:07] Fair, I was just playing devil's advocate. And his response is somewhat unreasonable as the fix he says he has in place requires a newer version of Patchance or Raysession than his latest release. [16:07] (or use of controls) [16:08] Basically, git master. So, it's on him to do a new release. [16:12] I agree, the application is very usable the way it is. [16:20] Eickmeyer: I added a feature request too: https://github.com/Houston4444/Patchance/issues/2 [16:20] -ubottu:#ubuntustudio-devel- Issue 2 in Houston4444/Patchance "Feature request, Add the ability to hide jack clients and their connections" [Open] [16:22] Good idea.
