tsimonq2arraybolt3: I FOUND IT FINALLY https://nthykier.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/some-sponsors-are-evil-and-pedantic/00:34
arraybolt3[m]lol I have that hardcoded into ~/.sbuildrc00:35
arraybolt3[m]Works really well.00:36
arraybolt3[m](There are a few messages that I find silly though - "extended-description-is-probably-too-short"... really? I mean I see how that's helpful but that one makes me kinda chuckle sometimes.)00:40
lubot[telegram] <lynorian> tsimonq2 I really like how the download page has the lxqt versions on it08:12
kc2bez[m]I agree. I like the new look too.09:26
lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> New look - same here!09:29
arraybolt3[m]Currently doing a backup and reinstall on my main rig, I won't be accessible in -members for a good while.15:01
RikMills[m]-members?15:06
arraybolt3[m]Rik Mills: #lubuntu-members, private channel for stuff that shouldn't be public.15:07
RikMills[m]oh la-de-da!15:08
=== genii_ is now known as genii
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> Thanks!17:04
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> 17:04
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> Please don't let me forget to update the release cycle image at the bottom once 20.04 is EOL :) (re @lynorian: tsimonq2 I really like how the download page has the lxqt versions on it)17:04
tsimonq2<arraybolt3[m]> "Rik Mills: #lubuntu-members..." <- tl;dr throwing coffee at teward, that's what that channel exists for :P17:05
kc2bez[m]lubot: Simon Quigley: i edited that last time. 17:07
tsimonq2condolences :/17:07
tsimonq2Did I even leave you with an SVG to work with? :(17:07
kc2bez[m]Yes you did. It was in oldart.17:08
kc2bez[m]I had to hunt for it but I got there.17:09
tsimonq2Sweet, heh17:09
RikMills[m]<tsimonq2> "tl;dr throwing coffee at teward,..." <- in addition to all the flinging in here? :P17:15
tsimonq2RikMills[m]: We also have to have a channel to pong teward for sysadmin issues too :P17:18
* tsimonq2 runs17:18
arraybolt3[m]<RikMills[m]> "in addition to all the flinging..." <- Yep.17:53
arraybolt3[m](btw, typing this from Lubuntu 23.04 on my main rig \o/)17:54
krytarikWrt the looks of the download page, I think without all the exclamation marks it only looks half that confusing.. :317:56
arraybolt3And I am back on IRC! Woot!18:06
* arraybolt3[m] uploaded an image: (198KiB) < https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/cDYRmgrWzbhLBsZDUOmXltwh/screenshot-713aa760.jpg >19:15
arraybolt3[m]Anyone else able to reproduce this bug? Right click on the desktop of a Lunar install, open Desktop Preferences, and click the Slide Show tab. Garbled text is in the highlighted location.19:15
* arraybolt3[m] really needs to fix the wallpaper regression and get the blue lobster picture inserted19:17
arraybolt3[m]Simon Quigley: Ping wrt calamares-settings-ubuntu MP19:22
arraybolt3[m](Just for whenever, I keep forgetting to say something :P)19:22
lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> yes confirm on latest ISO ...will you file a bug? (re @lubuntu_bot: (irc) <arraybolt3[m]> Anyone else able to reproduce this bug? Right click on the desktop of a Lunar install, open Desktop Preferences, and click the Slide Show tab. Garbled text is in the highlighted location.)20:29
arraybolt3[m]@Leokolb: Thanks for your help! Yes, I will file a bug.20:30
lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> Fine ..eyes open (re @lubuntu_bot: (irc) <arraybolt3[m]> @Leokolb: Thanks for your help! Yes, I will file a bug.)20:30
* arraybolt3[m] hunts for the right package to file it against20:31
kc2bez[m]pcmanfm-qt20:31
arraybolt3[m]That's what I was thinking, just double-checking mostly.20:31
kc2bez[m]👍️20:32
arraybolt3[m]Confirmed, filing bug.20:32

lubot[telegram] <Leokolb> Tks...confirming (re @lubuntu_bot: (irc) <arraybolt3[m]> @Leokolb: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm-qt/+bug/1998528)20:40

arraybolt3[m](that moment when you try to use a Vim keyboard shortcut in Google Chrome...)21:51
kc2bez[m]There is an extension for that ;) 22:02
tewardtsimonq2: it's usually just enough to ping me here unless it needs to be private for some reason.  here or in -members22:02
arraybolt3[m]Wait seriously?22:02
tewardonly time admin becomes necessary is if i have to stab marco22:02
kc2bez[m]arraybolt3[m]: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vimium/dbepggeogbaibhgnhhndojpepiihcmeb22:04
arraybolt3[m]Looks cool, but sadly without a Recommended tag, I'm a bit scared of it lol22:05
kc2bez[m]It is a bit surprising it doesn't have a recommended tag.22:09
kc2bez[m]I mean you are already using Chrome, what could go wrong. 🤣22:10
arraybolt3[m]:P How about, oh, everything, since I have my passwords to Element, Ubuntu One, Lubuntu Git, etc., etc., all in Chrome's password manager.22:11
kc2bez[m]:P Google thanks you for those 22:12
arraybolt3[m](I use a strong password and 2FA on my Google account so unless someone hacks Google I'm good, and if someone hacks Google presumably the encryption will give me enough time to reset everything.)22:12
arraybolt3[m]kc2bez[m]: Well it could be worse, I could be using LastPass...22:12
kc2bez[m]True22:12
kc2bez[m]I really jest, use what works for you.22:13
arraybolt3[m]Don't get me wrong, I'd love to like Firefox, and I used it for years. It's just... got some problems that Chrome doesn't have.22:14
kc2bez[m]I agree, it isn't perfect.22:15
lubot[telegram] <lynorian> vim is a better text editor for code than documentation22:15
kc2bez[m]I can see that. It is hard to shake the key bindings once you get used to them though.22:16
kc2bez[m]I <esc> my way to command mode all the time 😂22:18
* arraybolt3[m] proceeds to install VSCode, weird how much software has become a web browser these days22:18
arraybolt3[m]Wow, I do have to say, I'm surprised at just how light Lubuntu is now that I've switched to it on my main laptop. Used to be my RAM usage was 7+ GB, now I'm under 4 GB, even with Chrome, Element, Thunderbird, and VSCode all running at the same time.22:21
arraybolt3[m]I mean I knew it was good at this in VMs and on my old Chromebook but wow. This is my first time using it on a really powerful system for really powerful system things.22:21
kc2bez[m]Now you found the magic :D22:22
