[20:15] Eickmeyer: not happy with wayland... screen sizes are all wrong. Nothing seems to scale right. I just changed the work space of an application from workspace 3 to workspace 4 and ended up with it displaying on both 3 and 4 :p exiting one of them exited both so not two instances. [20:18] Eickmeyer: Ardour was esspecially bad... either the text is readable and the window is bigger than the screen or the text is tiny, tiny. I did not have this trouble with a lower res screen or X. I am guessing I will have to reboot to use waydroid... still feeling my way around with that. [20:19] Eickmeyer: in the end I am guessing I will create my own application in native Linux so I don't need android [20:20] OvenWerks: I've found display scaling with Ardour extremely problematic myself. [20:32] Ardour is a mix of system font size and the scalling config from what I can tell. [20:35] Yeah. These are very upstream bugs [20:46] the showing of the same app in two workspaces is probably plasma thing. (the wayland part) [20:46] but I have had trouble getting fonts to a reasonable size. [20:47] and when I switched to a wayland session, it seems everything I had set was gone. [21:08] OvenWerks: Known bug that I talked to the president of KDE about at Summit, and he showed me how to resolve it. Fixed in 23.04. [21:08] Basically, our XDG config path was in the wrong place for Wayland to pick it u. [21:08] *up [21:09] I'm adding Wayland to the default install (but not selected by default) for 23.04 === arraybolt3[m]1 is now known as arraybolt3[m] [22:53] ubuntustudio-pipewire-config is approved and landing in lunar. Studio will have it by default, it will be available in -installer for flavors. [22:54] Simply enables the extra layer for Jack.
