=== cpaelzer_ is now known as cpaelzer === klebers_ is now known as klebers [15:39] Hi all. I'm using v6.0.9 for now but I've just noticed the binder_linux.ko module isn't built for kernels in https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/. Any possibility to have it in future version? [21:40] I've opened a ticket, requesting a backport of a newer e1000e driver to 20.04's 5.4.0 kernel (as well as the FIPS kernel): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2001567 [21:40] -ubottu:#ubuntu-kernel- Launchpad bug 2001567 in linux (Ubuntu) "Add support for newer I219-LM NICs to the 5.4.0 kernel" [Undecided, New] [21:42] Is this even something that would happen, following Ubuntu's policies? It's not a bug/security fix, so it seems like it would be relegated to HWE updates and thus _not_ Ubuntu 20.04's 5.4.0 kernel. Is there any wiggle room with that?
