[01:36] Good evening, I am needing some help with the lauchpad login at https://launchpad.net/. I have already registered on the site and after clicking login I fall into a screen that I confirm my username and email and click on a green button and then fall into an error screen. (Error ID: OOPS-43c919a5cb7a8318dc3d718bfd730d35). https://cloud.braulio.ml:55443/s/sqgonKiiBmDKgBc [09:34] Hi [09:35] I have uploaded xchroot_2.7.5-1.changes to ppa.launchpad.net:/~estellnb/ubuntu/elstel/ yesterday [09:35] ... but up to now I have no received an accept/decline email [09:36] and at https://launchpad.net/~estellnb/+archive/ubuntu/elstel I can see that it is still the old package which is online [09:36] if I try to re-upload I get: "Package has already been uploaded to elstel-ubuntu on ppa.launchpad.net" [09:36] What can I do? [10:08] I have tried to file a bug but got the error id: OOPS-d09c0b15085f891bea420274c99cff33 [10:08] Is my report lost? [10:09] What can I do? I can not file a bug about bug-filing to be impossible for me. [10:09] because it is [10:15] fritz: "lp.bugs.interfaces.bugtask.IllegalTarget: Package launchpad not published in Ubuntu" - what exactly did you try to do? [10:16] launchpad is indeed not a package in Ubuntu [10:18] qqz: I'm trying to help you but it's very difficult because you aren't sticking around here for long enough to have a conversation. If you see this could you please try to connect more stably? [10:18] braulio: If you see this in logs, I've fixed your account and you should be able to log in now [10:19] I wanted to report a bug about launchpad [10:19] fritz: What exactly did you try to do to achieve this? Like the command you ran or the URL you started from or similar [10:22] filed with the web interface: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/launchpad/+filebug?no-redirect [10:22] fritz: OK, that's not where to file bugs against Launchpad. https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+filebug [10:22] Launchpad is not a part of Ubuntu, and so bugs against it don't go via /ubuntu [10:23] it is interesting though that you do not get a "lost something ?" page for https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/launchpad [10:23] ok, thanks [10:24] ogra: source package names get created very liberally. There was probably a reason at some point [10:24] There is a known bug about this particular situation being an OOPS rather than a sensible error message [10:38] i could not login to my launchpad.net account [10:38] I remember cjwatson mentioning "SourcePackageName rows appear if you vaguely breathe in Launchpad's direction and mention a source package name in the process" :D [10:38] "Sorry, something just went wrong in Launchpad. [10:38] We’ve recorded what happened, and we’ll fix it as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience" [10:38] vinay, what did you try to do and what error(s) did you encounter? [10:38] vinay, if there is an OOPS id, can you share it? [10:38] i created a new account and trying to login [10:38] (Error ID: OOPS-9ea59fe4d1e36e1beddc175c93663598) [10:41] vinay, you are running into an error because a Launchpad account was automatically created using your email address when the node-color-string_1.9.1-1 package was uploaded to kinetic/PROPOSED. [10:41] An email address can be associated with only one Launchpad account and that is why this happened [10:42] ahh, node-color-string was the package i uploaded to debian [10:42] i should give a forget password now ? [10:42] The existing Launchpad account is vinaykeshava and the new one is vinay-keshava [10:43] I can resolve this issue for you by merging the latter into the former. Is that okay? [10:43] yea that is fine [10:46] vinay, can you try logging in using the same email address now and let me know if it worked? [10:46] It worked [10:46] thanks [10:47] vinay, you're welcome :) === JanC is now known as Guest8007 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest7254 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest2780 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest191 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest803 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC_ is now known as JanC === cpaelzer_ is now known as cpaelzer === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest1127 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest7146 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest5659 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest6929 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC is now known as Guest3813 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC_ is now known as JanC [18:09] cjwatson: ha!
