[00:04] Hello!\ [02:05] Anyone here? [02:18] constancies: hey [02:22] Hello! [02:22] I was wondering about something (actually posted on the Snapcraft forums, but I'm admittedly slightly impatient)β€”is it possible to pass through theme directories to Snaps in a similar manner to Flatpaks? [02:22] For example, if I wanted a custom GTK theme for my Firefox [02:37] constancies: I assume you mean something like this (https://itsfoss.com/flatpak-app-apply-theme/) (I am not familiar with flatpak) - unfortunately not - there is no similar way to override snaps at runtime [02:38] I kinda wonder if there is a app similar to Flatseal which manages permissions for flstpak apps, but for snap? [02:39] constancies: have you seen https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2020/06/change-snap-app-theme ? if your theme is packaged as a snap then it snap'd apps should respect it [02:40] NeverAlone: the settings app can manage permissions but there is no way for users to easily grant a new permission to a snap if the original developer never listed it in the snap manifest [02:40] Ah [02:40] Well... the thing is, KDE has had a feature since Plasma 5.24 where you can choose a custom accent color for breeze [02:40] Snap apps will respect it [02:41] That doesn't happen in my experience with the GTK 3 theme [02:41] At least they should since the accent color isn't a separate theme [02:44] Yeah idk, spin up a Kubuntu VM and you'll find that the accent color will always remain that standard Breeze blue [03:03] Well, I'm going to sleep soon. I have a post on Snapcraft about this; if there's any knowledge you can contribute that would be greatly appreciated!
