[06:53] <sarnold> mtj: sorry, it's not about being logged in or out, it's about another account with the same email address being used at all. (At least, if my guess is right.)
[06:54] <mtj> i just attempted to create a new account, and got an error that 'email was in use'
[06:55] <mtj> so, did a password reset, and logged into old acount
