ArtfaithGreat day! ^^04:41
ArtfaithIs it possible to install `ubuntu-22.04.2-live-server-amd64` without the TUI installer?04:41
ArtfaithIt's probably related to `autoinstall`, but I meant a more manual option, like from the "Help" shell for example.04:43
ArtfaithWell... I see.04:56
ArtfaithIt's basically impossible to install 22.04 server one properly, so I'll just try 20.04. Thank you very much ^^04:56
ArtfaithErr... It's surely possible I believe, yet I am just noticed that I have been trying to find a solution alone for two days with not a single message from a Community for a problem in a very initial script of an installer of the most famous server OS in the entire world.05:08

somewhatNoobHello everyone, I have a bit of an issue when setting up Ubuntu server 22. In netplan I have configured static IP and disabled DHCP. But "ip a" first shows an address that looks like a failed DHCP attempt to get IP AND my static IP. This behaviour is the same on 2 machines. Can someone take a look and point me in the right direction? Thank you09:48
somewhatNoobhttps://pastebin.com/p8LBUuNc09:48
somewhatNoobI pasted my netplan config and ip a results09:48
somewhatNoobthis is the first time I saw "altname enp2s1" under the NIC in "ip a"09:48
fricklersomewhatNoob: a) there is no Ubuntu 22, it is either 22.04 or 22.10 b) 169.254.159.116/16 is the link-local address you request in your netplan config10:49
somewhatNoobfricker its 22.04.02. I do not see where I requested that IP, should that be mentioned in /etc/netplan/*.yaml?11:06
somewhatNoobaaahhhh now I get it. I used that to "disable IPv6". My bad. Thanks for the help mate11:07

Alien8472on my ubuntu server it says: `The following packages have been kept back: distro-info-data` when I run `sudo apt-get update / upgrade` how do I resolve this?17:17
ogra!phasedupdates17:20
ubottuSince Ubuntu 21.04, APT may hold back some updates on some systems while they are being phased in. This is called "phased updates". See https://ubottu.com/y/phased and https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PhasedUpdates for more info.17:20
ograAlien8472, ^^^17:20
sdezielAlien8472: `apt-cache policy distro-info-data` should tell you the phase %17:20
