Guest11Hi, I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place (I'm a user, not a developer), but I was wondering if there was a site I could check to see if plans were already in motion to incorporate the patches for kernel bug 216989 (AMD fTPM-related stuttering mitigation) into the Lunar Lobster kernel, or if that was in scope at all of what the team might be looking04:59

juerghGuest11: fTPM firmware upgrade should solve the issue. Potential kernel fixes will land in Lunar via 6.2 stable patches.07:03

-ubottu:#ubuntu-kernel- Commit f1324bb in kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git "tpm: disable hwrng for fTPM on some AMD designs"07:07
johnandmeghThank you juergh! I just wasn't sure if patches after 6.2.0 like that would end up incorporated, but sounds like that's part of the plan (unfortunately there hasn't been a deployment of AMD's fix for my motherboard yet, so I'm guessing it might not come!)...thanks!17:13
juerghjohnandmegh: The commit message contains 'Fixes: b006c439d58d ("hwrng: core - start hwrng kthread also for untrusted sources")` which was introduced in 6.1 so theoretically both 6.1 and 6.2 should get the fix.17:16
