sheytanHi all! Does 23.04 finally supports fingerprint by default or are there still issues?08:53
ahoneybun[m]I believe it depends on the hardware, I think fprint has been there for a minute out of the box.12:40
BluesKajHi all12:51
ahoneybun[m]Heyo BluesKaj 13:19
ahoneybun[m]Are we doing 23.10?13:19
BluesKajhey ahoneybun[m], yes, i'm testing it atm ..about 40 upgrades plus the 6.2.0-21 kernel are available so far.13:27
ahoneybun[m]Well I meant the email about if we are going on that release.13:27
mparilloDo you have a link to the e-mail?15:08
ahoneybun[m]It went to ubuntu-devel mailing list and a few other folks including Rik.15:46
mmikowskisheytan: The trouble with fingerprint is just when fprint pretty much had it nailed for the swipe-style readers, the world moved to area-press readers. fprint tries to work with this, but has been flaky IME.18:02
mmikowskiIf there has been updates to fprint, that capability may have improved. There are tutorials on how to integrate that to Ubuntu and KDE.18:03
