[12:26] Hi guys, I'm back on Xubuntu. Gonna use this laptop for work, was getting tired of Windows, so now I'll game on my desktop. [12:27] Just got the latest LTS version, and I've been trying to get my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse to work, it did work on last install but not now. [12:27] It connects to the device, but pairing doesn't work. I've tried it via Terminal without results: [12:27] Attempting to pair with D1:DF:F8:1F:D3:8B [12:27] [CHG] Device D1:DF:F8:1F:D3:8B Connected: yes [12:27] [CHG] Device D1:DF:F8:1F:D3:8B ServicesResolved: yes [12:27] [CHG] Device D1:DF:F8:1F:D3:8B ServicesResolved: no [12:27] [CHG] Device D1:DF:F8:1F:D3:8B Connected: no [12:29] https://dpaste.com/6GR8CT9EP [17:09] something strange happened twice: Software Updater comes up and says there are some packages updates. When asking to proceed, the window disappears and nothing happens. Restarting manually the Software Updater does the same (list looks ok, and window disappears when asking to proceed). Doing "apt-get upgrade" does the upgrades normally. This whole thing happened twice twice in a few days, with different packages involved. [17:10] Note: Xubuntu 23.04. [17:27] Maybe linked to my problem above: Just after having performed an "apt-get upgrade" (as said above), and launching again "Software Updater" gives: https://imgur.com/x32G3xX.png (doing "Check Again" comes back to same window). [18:05] bodiccea: run sudo apt update on a terminal emulator. you probably have some misconfiguration / error in your apt sources. [18:38] tomreyn, I did both (update/upgrade), no issue. Only GUI shows errors (window disappears, or says I "stopped the check for update"). I just cannot use the GUI right now. [18:39] hmm, maybe something appstream related then. but i'm out of ideas already. [18:41] In fact, I did the 23.04 **upgrade from 22.10** and I am unsure if I had a single GUI update since then, I did not take care... But it is OK for me, I can use command-line.
