In Dolphin for example. Currently it's weird MM/DD/YYYY [11:44] No, it's MM/DD/YY [11:53] OnkelTem, open system settings and search for "format" [11:54] kirvesAxe: https://i.imgur.com/U7xnuX6.png [11:54] As you see, the date format is correct. But in Dolphin I have this mess: [11:55] https://i.imgur.com/jY7f48E.png [11:55] I cannot see that as a correct date format, but that setting is the best guess I can give :) [11:57] But I'd either go check what Dolphin's settings are, or change that system format to something else and see if that has any effect on Dolphin or not. === guiverc2 is now known as guiverc [12:09] kirvesAxe: I tried, nothing helps, Dolphin uses the same format as before [12:09] and I don't find any way to change that [12:12] kirvesAxe: can you change date format in your Dolphin? Does that work? [12:12] I have the correct Y-M-D format in Dolphin. Let me check where I have that set. [12:13] Did you already check Settings -> Region & Language -> Time? [12:13] System Settings, that is [12:14] Dragnslcr: positive. I changed it there. [12:14] No matter what I set, and I tried many different ones, the Dolphin format doesn't change [12:15] What version of Kubuntu are you using? [12:16] Dragnslcr: 22.04 [12:17] I don't have a 22.04 system anymore, so it'll be harder for me to confirm [12:17] What locale did you select in the Region & Language settings? [12:18] I tried different ones, currently I set it to British English [12:18] The language [12:19] Yeah, British English is D/M/Y [12:20] I think the only English locate that uses Y-M-D is en_SE (Sweden) [12:21] I remember having the same issue. I think it's already been reported as a feature request to be able to set the date format separately from the locale. [12:21] So D/M/Y is fine. [12:21] My problem is that it's M/D/Y [12:22] I mean that Dolphin doesn't change its date format no matter what you set [12:24] Might need to log out and log back in [12:25] I just changed my locale, and Dolphin didn't update immediately [12:27] I tried just everything [12:27] And I found my own bug report that I created half a year ago [12:27] https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463615 [12:27] -ubottu:#kubuntu- KDE bug 463615 in dolphin "Dolphin ignores date format locales" [Normal, Unconfirmed] [12:27] And nobody gives a f [12:36] Hi all [12:39] Unfortunately I can't help much. It works correctly for me on 23.04, and I remember it working correctly on 22.04. [12:40] Might be worth rebooting, then check System Settings to make sure the change stayed === elj0b1m is now known as elj0b1m_ === elj0b1m_ is now known as elj0b1m__ === elj0b1m__ is now known as elj0b1m [17:40] Hello?
