IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> I tested KDE Neon before Kubuntu08:45
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> I'm liking Kubuntu more, only in terms of stability and speed08:45
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> Have in mind that I use a really old laptop08:45
=== Lord_of_Life_ is now known as Lord_of_Life
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> KDE Neon, I like verry much, it's really cutting edge, apps run smoothly -but kinda seem to be more resource demanding-08:46
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> Also, I don't know if this is a problem for me only, but installing themes on Kubuntu is broken while all KDE Features on Neon were great08:47
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> I recommend you use it, it is based on Ubuntu lts 22.04, don't know if that matters to you08:47
IrcsomeBot<thegoldenprince> But for me, I'm liking the Kubuntu Lunar Lobster a lot08:47
BluesKajHi all12:37
morpheuzmy discover is missing the flatpak repos in settings and alos not showing flatpaks in search, how can i fix that?15:55
mparillomorpheuz: Does this https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LunarLobster/ReleaseNotes/Kubuntu#Flatpaks help?16:29
morpheuzmparillo thanks, the plasma-discover-backend-flatpak package was missing16:30
magic_ninjawhat's the default kubuntu partitioning scheme at the moment? brtfs?18:33
magic_ninjaso much stupid ai-generated fluff that it's so hard to find anything :(18:33
mparilloI just installed MM using the defaults, and sda1 is unknown, sda2 is fat32 for /boot/efi and sda3 is ext4 for /19:27
mparilloISO from: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/19:28
mparilloI expect any recent releases would partition similarly.19:28
mmikowskimagic_ninja: unless there has been a change since 22.04, the default install is everything placed on a single ext4 partition.23:06
mmikowskimagic_ninja: correction - that should also include an boot/efi partition.23:09
dx3currently using kubuntu Jammy and kde is super unstable for me. the UI very often freeze, I lose the windows decoration. since a month.. I am not even able to recover by restarting plasma shell of kwin. is this known?23:16
mmikowskidx3 this may be due to hardware support. I have found 22.04 with 5.24.7 to be quite stable on X11 with Nvidia (RTX 20, 30, 40) and Intel i915 graphics.23:37
mmikowskiIf you are using Wayland that could cause an issue, so could other hardware.23:38
dx3I see. looks like I am running 5.15.0 with X11. I will check if I could upgrade that23:40
