BrianHechinger[mDoes anyone know if there is a MIDI Transport plugin for Audacious? I can't seem to find one. :(12:02
tastenheld[m]What Interface?13:25
tastenheld[m]What soundcard? Can it handle 192KHz?13:26
tastenheld[m]Try ubuntu studiocontrols first13:42
Eickmeyer[m]-spirit: It sounds like you didn't read the release notes.14:09
Eickmeyer[m]PipeWire is default in 23.04.14:09
Eickmeyer[m]With that, no need for Studio Controls since it controls JACK, and not pipewire-jack.14:10
Eickmeyer[m]If you want the old setup with Studio Controls, install ubuntustudio-pulseaudio-config. More info: https://ubuntustudio.org/switching-audio-setup/14:13
Eickmeyer[m]But before you start complaining, read release notes. That's what they're there for.14:13
Eickmeyer[m]Right. PipeWire can't exactly handle what you want to do. (I don't know why on earth you'd want to run at 192Khz, because only bats can hear at that range and it makes your recordings huge, but whatever).14:14
M-spirit[m]but i cannot change the hz fraquency14:16
M-spirit[m]i opened pipewire14:16
M-spirit[m]for mine reasons i want do it14:16
Eickmeyer[m]Like I said, whatever. I won't stop you. Read the links I showed you. It's obvious you're experimenting and not doing serious recording in a studio.14:16
M-spirit[m]so, how can I handle it? I must put again studio controls?14:16
Eickmeyer[m]Again, read the links I posted.14:16
M-spirit[m]ok, thank you, i hope to solve that :))14:16
M-spirit[m]i'll advice you later14:18
M-spirit[m]thank you very much!!14:43
M-spirit[m]is working all propely just going to Ubuntu studio installer -> download pulse audio14:43
M-spirit[m]than i restardet pc... and all going good, thank you14:44
Eickmeyer[m]You're welcome.14:44
M-spirit[m]i needed help because I'm not an experienced user of ubuntu studio... and i'm not very good reading in english the new features14:45
M-spirit[m]hope you'll have lucky day ;))14:45
Eickmeyer[m]Every release has release notes. This is true of every operating system.14:46
Eickmeyer[m]You too!14:46
djheroHow can I get firefox to remember to go through ardour instead of the primary playback device? each refresh it switches back to main out 17:49
OvenWerksdjhero: which audio backend are you using? (Jack, pipewire, pulse?) It siounds like maybe pipewire to me.19:08
OvenWerkswith pipewire, I have found the best thing to do is create a loopback device and make it the default desktop device. Fire fox will then connect to that as default. You can then connect the output of that to ardour. With pulse, the regular pulse-jack bridge should do about the same19:10
