[06:25] Hi, I have a little question. When I start my kubuntu pc, it starts with fn key as multimedia keys (volume, light keys, light monitor, mute, etc). [06:25] How I can switch it permanently on fn mode? [06:34] That's usually done from the BIOS config. Access by pressing f2/f12 when computer starts up (re @usernameOfCiccio: Hi, I have a little question. I'm currently trying to get an wireless headset (Logitech G533) to work with Skype, which doesn't recognise it. The system itself does, though, recording the microphone and listening via the headphones both work without problems It's a Skype-specific-problem. Any ideas? [15:51] I'm on Kubuntu 23.04, btw. === inacio is now known as Espirito_de_Fogo [17:28] Do you know how to add the blur on the kde panel on kubuntu? [18:05] Mrokii: See pulse audio volume control. You should be able to route through that (assuming 23.04 has maintained PA; I know pipewire has taken over at least a few of its duties). [18:06] Mrokii: Here is a solution page for 22.04 LTS. Hopefully it will help with 23.04 :) [18:06] https://kfocus.org/wf/bt-phones.html [19:14] mmikowski: Thanks, I'll have a look [19:15] Mrokii: You're welcome. Hopefully that will get it sorted. [19:40] Hi, I have a problem which haunts me for months. Sometimes when I copy larger files to a USB drive the file manager's process bar shows the copying is finished, but the file is not 100% percent on the drive. For example a two hours long video file stop playing after one an a half hour of playing. I know that the process bar shows that the file is in the cache but even if I wait a couple of minutes this happens again and again. Is there a [19:40] solution for this problem? [19:51] At the moment syns command doesn't respont. The copying still in progress [19:51] sync [19:53] linux, run: sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf [19:53] add this line at the end of that file: vm.dirty_bytes = 15728640 [19:54] then press ctrl+o, hit enter and after reboot it should be ok. [19:54] diogenes_Vx15: What does it do? [19:55] tomreyn: sync finished before Dolphin's process bar. [19:55] linux, it limites the amount of dirty bytes. [19:56] linux: please listen to diogenes, they know better than i do [19:57] diogenes_Vx15: I did it. Tank you [19:57] Thank you [19:57] now run: sudo sysctl -p [19:57] and try copying again [19:59] Do I have to reboot? [19:59] sudo sysctl -p will do [19:59] Thank you very much [20:01] diogenes_Vx15: Is this issue happens with file manager only or cp command as well? [20:02] linux, this is a kernel thing.
