For example I can't open magnet links or torrent files in any browser with qbittorent even it is set as default application. I can only open torrent file in Dolphin or copy magnet link and then add in qbittorrent. Also VLC doesn't open video file in qbittorrent just in Dolphin even it is also set as default application for video files.

[12:56] <guiverc> linux, you've not provided your OS/release details; but if a recent release with a snap version of firefox for example; being a snap it can't access your full file-system for security reasons thus the directories matter (you shouldn't have issues with $HOME or your user directory though some links may still be rejected)
