bepri | hi, I was wondering if anybody here has ever had an issue with the OEM USB-C charger not working on their laptop when in kubuntu? I own a third-party barrel jack charger that does work, and USB-C charges fine when in Windows or anything preceding kubuntu (ie BIOS, GRUB, powered down, etc.) | 12:21 |
TGstars | hello my laptop is overheating can anyone help | 12:27 |
TGstars | it started after i installed kubuntu on my machine. version 22.04.2LTS | 12:28 |
BluesKaj | Hi all | 12:50 |
user|61 | how easy is to install a kubuntu in a windows10? | 14:18 |
* BayouGuru does not know. | 14:25 | |
BayouGuru | Have you searched "Installing Kubuntu to dual boot with Win10" and looked through those results? | 14:27 |
BayouGuru | Shorten the search to "Kubuntu <version> dual boot Win 10" | 14:27 |
mmikowski | user|61 I suggest using a completely separate nvme drive for a dual boot set up if you can afford maybe $50 for a good nvme; you can even install to a 32+ GB USB drive you just want to try it out. If you're interested in either, let me know and I can provide additional details. | 18:19 |

Crell | Hi folks. Odd behavior. A while back... all my window borders disappeared. Everything still works, but there is zero border around any window. I've poked through the Settings app and don't see anything relevant. What the heck happened, and how do I un-happen it? | 21:21 |

user|97 | I the last few days, Kubuntu 22.04 has not been usable on VMWare running on a windows host. We get a login prompt, log in and then get a black screen. I'm not sure if it is a Windows video thing, update from VMWare or something else. However, logging on to Ubuntu desktop, will work. This occurs on at lease 4 different computers running Kubuntu | 23:22 |
user|97 | VMs. Anyone have any ideas? | 23:22 |
Guest36 | Hello people! I have a question about packages. After Canonical's decision to remove flatpak support by default, if I install kubuntu 23.04, how is Firefox provided? ppa repository or snap? | 23:28 |
oerheks | snap | 23:29 |
Guest36 | Oh... Thanks for the answer! so it's still sandboxed... | 23:30 |
