We have openjdk-lts package in Ubuntu which is openjdk-11 in Debian. [19:59] How should i go about merging it? Since there is no debian/sid branch, should I just pull latest Debian changes, make a branch and point it the MP to ubuntu/devel? Thank you!!!! [21:14] Hi, I am looking for review and sponsorship of https://code.launchpad.net/~vpa1977/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-21/+git/openjdk-21/+merge/444680. Merge of openjdk-21 preview from Debian. [21:14] Thank you!!!! === JanC is now known as Guest340 === JanC_ is now known as JanC [21:34] vpa1977: you could add both git-ubuntu repositories as remotes. Then you'd have a debian/sid branch. That's only one option though. [21:34] Ultimately what matters is that the final upload is what sponsors would expect. I'm not sure what that is though - why are the source packages named differently? [21:36] I think this some kind of historical thing [21:37] But when I push and open MP, I open md against debian/sid branch in ubuntu repostitory [21:37] *repository. I can not push to it so I will not have debian/sid [21:51] we only use debian/sid as the MP target for convenience to make the preview diff useful. I think the important thing is to get the final answer right, and the next important thing is to make it reviewable by providing the rich history breakdowns. [21:51] Given the complication I think it's fine if the MP target is wrong, with an explanation. [21:51] "wrong" [22:05] rbasak: Thank you!!!!!! [22:43] bryceh: thanks for the review; I don't know if you'll have been notified, but I replied and pushed various fixes [22:47] vorlon, ah great, yeah I was just wondering about that :-) === Serge is now known as hallyn
