[07:51] goood morning desktopers! [08:52] seb128, nightly build is broken on github actions :( [08:52] https://github.com/canonical/firefox-snap/actions/runs/5372854666/jobs/9746648786#step:6:26614 [09:15] lissyx, 118:41.11 /root/parts/firefox/build/gfx/thebes/gfxFont.cpp:4256:7: error: use of undeclared identifier 'isnan' [09:15] is that an upstream issue? [09:15] I dont think [09:16] the bug landed three days ago and was not backed out [09:16] I'm worried this could be a symptom of using old clang [09:16] also, the filesystem hosting my KVM setup did not survive a hard power cut I did by mistake on sunday so I've lost ability of rebuilding for now [09:17] if firefox isn't compatible with older clang should it check of a version matching the requirement and bail out with a clear error if it's not available? [09:17] :-( [09:17] seb128, well, that's all taken care of by our bootstrap and handling of toolchains via CI [09:19] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1840327 [09:19] -ubottu:#ubuntu-desktop- Mozilla bug 1840327 in Firefox Build System "snap nightly build fails with undeclared identifier 'isnan'" [--, New] [09:24] lissyx, thanks [10:44] mutter Daniel van Vugt 407698 * commented merge request !96 * https://deb.li/ZmF0 [11:42] mutter Daniel van Vugt 407707 * commented merge request !96 * https://deb.li/0oYi [13:17] Is there a known issue with the Mantic arm64+raspi preinstalled desktop image? For ~3 weeks, it only boots to a blue background and a panel with the settings and power icons. No setup anymore, not really usable as-is. Tried multiple pis and multiple media with the same result. [13:18] samlane, yes -- I believe it's a result of the changeover to building images with the ubuntu-image, and as a result a required change to the gadget but I've not had time to verify implement and test the change locally [13:20] ah ok thank you [13:28] waveform, do we have a milestoned bug / card to make sure we don't forget about it? [13:42] lissyx, thanks, i'll give that patch a try in my own branch shortly and if all looks good i'll push it to nightly later today [13:53] seb128, I don't believe so -- I'll file a bug on the gadget, but I'm not too concerned about forgetting it as I frequently flash these images myself :) [13:56] waveform, ack [13:56] waveform, having a bug describing the issue also help with community and questions like the one we just had on the channel :) [14:36] bandali, thanks [14:41] samlane, seb128 filed LP: #2025068 against ubuntu-image and self-assigned -- I'll try and get this sorted as soon as I can [14:41] -ubottu:#ubuntu-desktop- Launchpad bug 2025068 in ubuntu-image (Ubuntu) "Current rpi images are broken" [High, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/2025068 [14:53] seb128, bandali, ok my setup is mostly back, and i should be able to work on snap tomorrow if required again [15:05] waveform, thx [15:05] lissyx, great [15:39] ack [15:54] bandali, the patch is landing [15:55] not sure if you'll pick up on the next nightly [15:55] I could reproduce the failure locally so I'm testing the patch as well [15:55] I'm a bit sad that my try push did NOT fail [16:03] lissyx, ack. i've dispatched a build with it on my launchpad account as well. though if the patch will be landing today or tomorrow i'm not sure if it would be worth putting it into firefox-snap.git only to take it out a day later [16:04] lissyx, btw, speaking of 'try', would it make sense for me to apply to be able to use that at this point in time? [16:10] if you work on m-c, it's always useful yes [16:23] ack, thanks i'll look into it further then
