[11:38] I asked in #ubuntu but I figured it's more a question for here: I had to install pipewire-jack to get my audio jack to work on my laptop (I am running Lunar), is it expected? If this is really necessary for the audio jack to work, I would expect this package to be a dependency of ubuntu-desktop. [11:53] gjolly, this isn't a support room [12:18] gjolly: could you use ubuntu-bug pipewire to report that issue? [12:29] jbicha: in fact after reading a bit about it I doubt this has anything to do with pipewire-jack. I just think rebooting my system made the audio jack appear magically in gnome-control-center. [12:31] gjolly: oh ok, pipewire-jack is for a specific professional grade audio server (that is offered in Ubuntu Studio) but not specifically for the physical ports on your computer [13:22] ricotz, hey, do you know what's the easiest way to check what the difference between thunderbird 102.13.0 build1 and build2? [13:23] seb128, hi, the commit log should be sufficient https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-esr102 [13:24] ricotz, there is no build1 tag in there it seems? [13:24] I still have it on my todo [13:25] the thunderbird tags are kind of a mystery sometimes, looking for new things at https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.13.0-candidates/ is more reliable [13:25] ricotz, I've a build1 version in the security ppa, I wonder if build2 is worth doing another round of build or not [13:26] ricotz, right, but that doesn't tell me the difference between those builds [13:26] I guess I can download/untar/diff the archives [13:27] build1 is https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-esr102/rev/2bf94c4d195694485df5d632f2453888cf4f6657 [13:28] https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.13.0-candidates/build2/linux-x86_64/en-US/thunderbird-102.13.0.txt [13:28] so they are identical [13:28] https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.13.0-candidates/build1/linux-x86_64/en-US/thunderbird-102.13.0.txt [13:28] seb128, ^ [13:29] ricotz, thanks, and weird! [14:37] lissyx, thanks, and hope you enjoy the holidays indeed!
