[02:05] good morning === JanC_ is now known as JanC [05:45] exit [13:57] seems like we gonna get a bunch of graphics issues on 6.2 [13:58] few reports starting to showup in #ubuntu-bugs-announce [13:58] bug #2029581 [13:58] -ubottu:#ubuntu-discuss- Bug 2029581 in nvidia-graphics-drivers-418-server (Ubuntu) "package nvidia-dkms-418-server 418.226.00-0ubuntu5~0.22.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: подпроцесс из пакета nvidia-dkms-418-server установлен сценарий post-installation возвратил код ошибки 10" [Undecided, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/2029581 [14:25] ogra: froscon tomorrow? ;) [14:26] nah ... gardening tomorrow (if weather permits) 😛 [14:26] does not look so great [14:26] yeah, i fear so too [14:27] i hope kölsch will keep us warm [14:28] warm kölsch ? shudder 🙂 [14:28] its almost free and actually cold :D [17:59] oh my ... he is still trying to get python 3.6.x onto 22.04 ... now building his wn toolchain ... [17:59] *own [18:02] ohm i guess i missed some backstory there [18:02] tomreyn, he is around since two weeks nearly every day, he's an admin and his devs refuse to port their build env to a recent python version, so he tries to get old python 3.6 onto 22.04 ... last was to try to build python from source which wants libc 2.17 ... [18:03] hehe, fun, not. [18:03] in the two weeks even my 80y+ old mom had ported the build scripts to python 3.8 😛 [18:04] cant be more than a few lines you need to change in there between 3.6 and 3.8 [18:05] i guess their dev and ops don't talk a lot [18:06] yeah ... [18:07] 2 weeks? [18:07] 2023 Apr 12 15:50:07 Niclos: why exactly do you need python3.11.3? [18:08] lol [18:08] i didnt know !! [18:08] then he picked back up 3 weeks ago [18:08] 3.6 is on topic since two or three weeks though [18:08] 2023 Jul 13 13:06:07 Niclos: 22.04 has python3 3.10.6 [18:08] yeah [18:09] I was about to post this to them but they left: "Niclos: you've been at this since April. You are your team refuse to listen to reason and port your code to something modern and supported. You also refuse to take any advice given here. Please stop wasting our time and either fix your code or use outdated and unsupported OS's to support your code and ride that until you have no choice but to fix your code." [18:10] it told them yesterday already to not ask about building libc 2.17 for 22.04 ... which is why the initial posts were about gcc and holding back on telling versions at all i guess [18:10] s/it/i/ [18:11] i really wasnt expecting to see more of it today 🙂 === A_Dragon is now known as A_Noodle === A_Noodle is now known as A_Dragon
