tsimonq2src/termwidget.cpp:00:47
tsimonq2(gdb) next00:47
tsimonq2250         m_term = new TermWidgetImpl(cfg, this);00:47
tsimonq2(gdb) next00:47
tsimonq2Using a variable-width font in the terminal.  This may cause performance degradation and display/alignment errors.00:47
tsimonq2[Detaching after vfork from child process 317718]00:47
tsimonq2251         setFocusProxy(m_term);00:48
tsimonq2That's what I'm looking for00:48
tsimonq2Doing some investigating in /proc/317718 tells me that this is the shell process that is meant to be encapsulated by qterminal00:48
lubot[matrix] <wxl> Ewww variable width fonts00:48
tsimonq2Let's be fair, qterminal5 displays that line too :P00:48
lubot[matrix] <wxl> https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/distributions/2023-August/001406.html00:55
lubot[matrix] <kc2bez> 🔥00:59
lubot[matrix] <wxl> Indeed01:01
tsimonq2src/termwidget.cpp:85 has startShellProgram(); - adding yet another breakpoint01:03
tsimonq2214       if (_eraseChar != 0)01:17
tsimonq2Right about there.01:17
tsimonq2Lines are starting to blur, I need a GDB break. :P01:18
tsimonq2(I almost wonder if I can forward-port qterminal6 to qtermwidget5 and eliminate some variables...)01:19
tsimonq2Anyway, if anyone else can find it before I can, let me know :)01:19

arraybolt3Hey guys. A couple of days ago I gave away an SD card that I had previously used as a system backup device, and just now realized I had my private GPG key and SSH key on them. (The card was wiped before I gave it away IIRC.) I've already revoked the GPG key and removed both it and the SSH key from Launchpad, but I remember the LXD container I used14:39
arraybolt3to have access to used my (now possibly compromised) SSH key for logging in. If no one's done so already, you should probably remove that key.14:39
arraybolt3tsimonq2, teward: ^14:39
arraybolt3s/on them/on it/14:39
arraybolt3Sorry about the inconvenience.14:41
arraybolt3(I also believe I was using either LUKS encryption or borgbackup encryption any time the keys were on the card - I'm only being this cautious since, for one, keys can do bad things if they escape, and for two, my memory doesn't always work right and I'm worried that I might have left the data unencrypted at some point.)14:49
tewardarraybolt3: i can nuke the container or just shut the container off and voila no access15:08
tewardbut after this work meeting15:08
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> arraybolt3: oh HEY!15:13
arraybolt3o/15:14
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> arraybolt3 meet wxl, my mentor from back in the day who just happened to come by after you had left :)15:14
arraybolt3teward: +1, sorry to have fumbled with that. Rule from now on, if storage leaves my control it gets dd if=/dev/zero'd first15:14
lubot[matrix] <wxl> 👋15:15
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> arraybolt3: I don't think I got the opportunity to tell you- THANK YOU for all the development work the last few cycles. I've gotten stuff caught up but you really did a lot :)15:15
arraybolt3wxl: o/15:15
arraybolt3tsimonq2: Thanks :)15:15
arraybolt3I miss you guys. I don't think I'll end up being able to come back with how busy I've been after things exploded, but I really enjoyed working with you all.15:15
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> You're always welcome back. :)15:16
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> Life comes and goes - we've all had to step away at some point. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're running Lubuntu and have your own bug to fix ;)15:16
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> teward: iirc his container is off?15:17
arraybolt3Thanks :)15:17
* arraybolt3 returns to mass-resetting my passwords and some of my 2FA data15:17
lubot[telegram] <teward001> tsimonq2: then we're good to go and no actions required15:18
lubot[matrix] <wxl> I managed to crawl my way back. You’ll get there. Busy will become the new normal 🤣15:20
lubot[telegram] <Roberalz> Ohhhh @arraybolt3!!!!15:35
arraybolt3Roberalz: o/15:36
arraybolt3wxl: heh, if possible that would be nice.15:36
arraybolt3teward: Erm, while I'm right here, it looks like I still have notes.lubuntu.me access (not sure if that's intentional or not). If it's not intentional, can you disable it or should I delete the account? And if it is intentional, could you change my password and DM me the new one?15:48
tewardfyi we dont have integrated SSO.  Thats why we dont have a "no more access everywhere" button15:50
tewardi can just erase your account or reset the PW random15:50
tewardagain after meetings15:50
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> teward: amazing thing to note publicly :P16:02
lubot[telegram] <tsimonq2> *shots fired*16:03
teward:P16:03
tewardwell i will be making an integration Soon(TM) but securing that shit is hard16:03
tewardalso i am extremely travel-lagged for the record >.<16:04
tewardso oops i swore.  i get the one pass :P16:04
teward*slaps tsimonq2 into the abyss because of qterminal*16:04
tewardtsimonq2: i assume you still need me to prod18:54
tewardand test qterm618:54
lubot[telegram] <lynorian> so apparently on this part of lxqt-appearance Lubuntu Arc is the only theme without the desktop switcher numbers on it. : https://matterbridge.lubuntu.me/e3dc92c6/file_9852.jpg19:13
tewardwxl: hit me up somewhere so I can give you the reg key20:45
tewardbut note we only have the main devel and main support chans on our Matrix right now20:46
tewardand i haven't added them all to the mattermost bridge yet either20:46
wxlteward: ummm what sort of somewhere do you want?21:53
