* tsimonq2 blinks at all the OEM packages being added to the sponsorship report03:37
Eickmeyertsimonq2: 🤣 cron-daemon go brrrrrrrrr03:38
* tsimonq2 removes sponsors from them since fourdollars already ran syncpackage :)03:39
tsimonq2Eickmeyer: hah03:39
* tsimonq2 wonders whether the SRU team is particularly apt to review packages synced from a non-Bileto PPA03:40
EickmeyerThe infra piece that will sunset "tomorrow"?03:41
tsimonq2That's quite a shame, assuming we still don'03:41
tsimonq2*don't have virtualized riscv64 builders.03:41
tsimonq2Even if they're emulated on like, amd64, *something* would be nice.03:42
EickmeyerOh, but that's the infra piece that's coming soon*.03:42
tsimonq2Oh?03:42
EickmeyerYeah, but don't quote me.03:42
EickmeyerI think it needs actual riscv64 hw first.03:42
tsimonq2That would be cool.03:44
tsimonq2Especially for symbols and such. I know I could just use a porterbox if I needed to, or emulate it locally, but that's not the point. :)03:44
EickmeyerRight. What we've got for riscv64 is just virtual machines anyhow, which isn't ideal, and would get overwhelmed if one opened it up to millions of PPAs.03:45
liushuyutsimonq2: Okay. We will move the conversation03:53
liushuyuAnd also, https://salsa.debian.org/debian/rust-test-case does not have the up-to-date source03:54
liushuyuHmm, it does now03:55
tsimonq2liushuyu: Yes, I just pushed it. :)03:59
tsimonq2liushuyu: I'll tag it once it actually hits Debian. In 48 hours the upload will go through, so I'd say give it 72 hours (or less) total and we can sync it.04:00
liushuyutsimonq2: Ah, I see04:00
liushuyutsimonq2: Thank you!04:00
tsimonq2liushuyu: No worries!04:00
tsimonq2FYR, https://ftp-master.debian.org/deferred.html will show that upload shorly.04:02
tsimonq2*shortly04:02
liushuyuIt's not a very urgent issue though some other autopkgtests do have dependency on it04:07
tsimonq2Makes sense. In Ubuntu, I'd wait for this upcoming Britney one or the next one.04:08
tsimonq2lvoytek: python-django-tagging> Please send your fix up to Debian as well. Thanks in advance. :)04:09
tsimonq2Eickmeyer: you failed :P04:19
* Eickmeyer drags tsimonq2 back to #ubuntu-release04:19
tsimonq2Eickmeyer: Also, we should probably get the Calamares settings cleaned up (and ran through source NEW) at some point.04:19
tsimonq2We're sticking it through the LTS.04:20
tsimonq2*to it04:20
Eickmeyertsimonq2: For Jammy?04:20
tsimonq2Nah, 24.04.04:20
tsimonq2Well, I guess we could clean it up for Mantic.04:20
EickmeyerOh. Well, feel free to remove ubuntustudio for 23.10 and 24.04... we've moved back to Ubiquity (GTK) and will be going forward with ubuntu-desktop-installer if we can ever solidify help with it.04:21
Eickmeyer(The Calamares settings packages that is)04:22
tsimonq2See, I'm not quite motivated enough to do an installer switch yet. We have a really good test suite. I'm still holding out hope that we can get things polished for the LTS.04:22
EickmeyerI was able to get Ubiquity polished so quick it made my head spin. git tags are nice.04:38

paridetsimonq2, hi, thanks! I'm currently looking at the landscape bug.13:15
tsimonq2paride: Sweet, looks like that covers our bases. Thank you!13:15
mitchdzHi! I'm looking to help out with the glibc merge. Is anyone looking at the mumax3 arm64 autopkgtest regression? If not I'll look into it.14:43
tsimonq2mitchdz: Hey! We coordinate that in -release. I think that one is clear, go for it!14:44
tsimonq2mitchdz: If you don't have upload rights, feel free to ping me or p_aride if you get a fix. :)14:45

EickmeyerIt's like a Concorde with 3 pilots (yes, the flight engineer was a fully-fledged pilot as well).15:04

tsimonq2_mobileSo, we just entered some somewhat unprecedented territory and I'd like an informal DMB vote (or acknowledgement, at the very least). As Release Manager, I take full responsibility.23:19
tsimonq2_mobile!dmb-ping | through the delegated power granted to ~lubuntu-dev, wxl has been re-added to the team after several years23:20
ubottuthrough the delegated power granted to ~lubuntu-dev, wxl has been re-added to the team after several years: bdmurray, kanashiro, rbasak, seb128, sil2100, teward, utkarsh2102: DMB ping23:20
sarnoldwelcome back wxl :)23:21
tsimonq2_mobileThis is very unusual, because usually DMB policy is "oh, if you let it lapse a few months, it's fine". This has been over a year.23:21
tsimonq2_mobileHe's proven himself, but I'm shedding light on it publicly to allow myself to be grilled on his behalf if necessary. :)23:21
bdmurraywell I was going to say something23:24
teward*shoves tsimonq2_mobile into the pit of lions*23:25
sarnoldkitties!23:25
tsimonq2_mobileXD23:25
tewardLubuntu's dev team has delegated access to specific packages and is under the Lubuntu Council purview last I checked.  Hence delegated rights there, at least if I remember right from a DMB perspective23:26
tewardlol sarnold23:27
bdmurrayI seem to recall a recent discussion amongst the DMB about development policies changing a lot recently and I think it would be good if tsimonq2_mobile were to explain how wxl has proven themselves and whether or not they are familiar with current policy.23:27
tsimonq2_mobilewxl has proven himself recently with a lubuntu-artwork update. He remembered the full Git workflow and how to update the package for a new release (entirely), and presented a diff to review before this happened. He bumped standards-version, an expectation in this case. I ACKed it. In the past, wxl has helped with quite a few packages under the23:32
tsimonq2_mobilelubuntu packageset, mostly with new code and bash script polishing. As a fair disclaimer, he's been a mentor of mine since I started in the project. That being said, I don't have a problem rejecting diffs if they're wrong, and he hasn't shown that he's forgotten much.23:32
tsimonq2_mobileI get it, one package update alone may be considered flimsy and I agree. What stands out is the knowledge that kept, and despite asking for a second set of eyes, he got it right.23:32
tsimonq2_mobileI would certainly agree to responsibility for his uploads in the near future if that is a necessary step to further trust.23:33
tsimonq2_mobile(My mobile connection is flimsy, I'll be back at irssi soon.)23:36
