[20:49] evening folks [20:50] is it true that 22.04 comes with the actual nvidia drivers? [20:54] i think there's something bundled but it's kinda moot when you can... update [21:03] thats a good point, i'll ask google when my new pc gets delivered [21:09] When you install Ubuntu and tick the box "Install 3rd party drivers" during set-up, then yes you'll get the Nvidia driver. I was just setting up a workstation for ML, installing CUDA Toolkit causes it to downgrade the driver, requiring an apt-get --fix-missing [21:10] Well, I say downgrade. It's a very minor revision. [21:17] thats good to know, thanks for sharing [21:19] davef, what are you doing with ML? [21:23] Not me, but what my colleagues are doing. https://youtu.be/btWy-BAERoY?t=3416 [22:11] great headline 'Google is Killing Play Movies and TV, Will Only Have Three Video Stores Left' [22:33] davef, thanks for sharing, interesting stuff [22:35] No worries :) [22:35] There's more obviously, but I can only share what's public. [22:51] without crossing his palm with a box of jaffa cakes that is [22:51] ;) [23:00] quiet down, can't be sharing secrets like that 🤫 [23:03] xD [23:03] perhaps a box of jaffa cakes will silence me... [23:03] have they made you a 3d jaffa cake mask ? [23:04] i think a 3D printed Hannibal Lecter (sp) mask was the only way UK Customs would let davef back in [23:05] no, no, sir, we're ok with the liver and Cianti thing, but the jaffa cake.... [23:05] they're a national treasure!
