lardayn2hi. any suggestions for a newbie for an automatically-run system recovery backup of kubuntu?08:54
lardayn2i use backups for weekly-backups of the home directory, is it satisfactory? In case of a problem, can i fresh-install kubuntu and restore that backup and will everything be fine?08:55
tomreynyour apt and snap (and other, incl. what goes to /usr/local and /opt) installed applications will no longer be present, and, possibly more important, your system level configurations (which once used to be almost exclusively stored in /etc)09:04

AssTractionHeroCan someone point me to where the screen brightness stepping is in the settings? e.g. the ones controlled by the F1 and F2 keys on a MacBook Air. It seems to be stepping by 6-7%, I'd like to have it set at 5 or 10.20:25
AssTractionHeroSorry, MacBook Pro, if that makes any difference. The two MacBooks Air have the stepping set at 5%.20:29
