vorlonxnox: there's an rsync delay between the britney process and the website00:10
vorlonEickmeyer: thanks for the smooth escalation of LP: #2035406.  systemd reverted in jammy-updates and I'll jiggle the SRU bug states in a bit00:36
-ubottu:#ubuntu-release- Launchpad bug 2035406 in systemd (Ubuntu Jammy) "udev update has broken ubuntu's ability to import photos in digikam, gphoto2 can no longer see usb camera, entangle can no longer see camera" [High, Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/203540600:37
Eickmeyervorlon: Glad to help. Got quite a few pings on that one.00:37
vorlonEickmeyer: lunar's SRU was also released today; is it confirmed that lunar is unaffected?00:37
vorlonor merely presumed due to different upstream version?00:38
Eickmeyervorlon: Not completely, haven't tested. The only reports I received are from Jammy users.00:38
vorlonok. not currently planning to revert lunar unless someone tells me I should00:38
EickmeyerOk. Will keep an eye out, but with the smaller userbase might be harder.00:39

LocutusOfBorgdoko, what? inkscape, lapack, or what? :D12:16
dokolapack12:16
ricotzahasenack, hello, could you please take a look at the libreoffice SRU for lunar which is waiting in the queue?12:30
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: strace [i386] (mantic-proposed/main) [6.5-0.0ubuntu1] (core, i386-whitelist)12:33
LocutusOfBorgdoko, the problem is elsewhere12:34
LocutusOfBorglto1: fatal error: bytecode stream in file ‘./testing/lin/liblapacktest.a’ generated with LTO version 13.0 instead of the expected 12.012:34
LocutusOfBorgthis means that magma is using gcc-13 to build, but also cuda-g++1212:34
LocutusOfBorgso when mixing, kaboom12:34
LocutusOfBorgnot sure if a) disable lto or b) stick with gcc-1212:35
ahasenackricotz: ack12:37
dokogo with a), and if that's not good enough, stick to GCC 1212:38
ricotzahasenack, thank you12:40
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New: accepted strace [i386] (mantic-proposed) [6.5-0.0ubuntu1]12:56
LocutusOfBorgdoko, ack, done a in https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/costamagnagianfranco-ppa/+build/26708889 and b in https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/locutusofborg-ppa/+build/2670890313:05
LocutusOfBorgactually the problem is not gcc-12 but gfortran-12 vs gfortran-1313:05
LocutusOfBorgso I presume disabling lto won't fix anything13:05
LocutusOfBorgbut lto might explain why debian builds fine13:05
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: python-os-brick (jammy-proposed/main) [5.2.2-0ubuntu1.2 => 5.2.2-0ubuntu1.3] (openstack)13:13
LocutusOfBorgdoko, ^^ FYI both solution a and b works, I added the package to lto-disabled-list13:54

vorlonzhsj: https://code.launchpad.net/~zhsj/ubuntu/+source/libevent/+git/libevent/+merge/451102 two things: 1) there are still binary packages in mantic referencing the transitional -7a library packages so will need to be rebuilt; 2) I've grabbed the libevent source myself to make sure this symbol wasn't exported in any headers (it's not) and therefore not part of the libevent public ABI despite being16:59

UnivrslSuprBoxI'm snooping around src:containernetworking-plugins in jammy (0.9.1+ds1-1) because it failed to build locally. Turns out it's failing a whole bunch of tests that have never been run in the Ubuntu infrastructure. They're skipped during build because the builder isn't root. They also aren't called during autopkgtest. My local build running dh_auto_test as root runs a bunch more tests, some of which fail.19:47
UnivrslSuprBoxWhy the discrepancy in tests? https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/gjrnwdBdsC/19:47
UnivrslSuprBoxThe autopkgtests in question: https://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/golang-github-containernetworking-plugins/jammy/amd6419:49
vorlonUnivrslSuprBox: not really on-topic for this channel, I suggest #ubuntu-devel.  But doing local package builds as root isn't really recommended20:02
UnivrslSuprBoxvorlon: completely agree on not running package builds as root. That's an infrastructure thing I don't want to get into. I'm more interested in why the tests are different, and whether it's a problem that they're failing when they _do_ run.20:05
vorlonwhy the tests are different> because upstream wrote them that way, and dh_auto_test invokes an upstream build suite20:17
UnivrslSuprBoxYep, both are executing dh_auto_test though, that's the weird bit. I've redirected to -devel, anyway20:56
