tjaaltonmesa ffe got accepted, but a similar update a year ago revealed some issues with mutter on armhf and bug lp#199322606:10
-ubottu:#ubuntu-desktop- Launchpad bug 1993226 in mutter (Ubuntu) "mutter autopkgtests fail to detect regressions in mesa" [Undecided, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/199322606:10
tjaaltonany idea if that is addressed, or if it could be addressed "soon"?06:10
lissyxbandali, ok so I managed to build the armhf on my rpi4 after installing on another µSD an armhf system :)08:08
lissyxbandali, I've confirmed I can cross-compile both variants now, PRs are "ready", ken commented :)08:09
lissyxI would still need some help to verify "native builds" are still OK on your side: https://github.com/canonical/firefox-snap/pull/28#issuecomment-173158265708:09
-ubottu:#ubuntu-desktop- Pull 28 in canonical/firefox-snap "Firefox Snap armhf/arm64 cross-compilation using GNOME SDK Snap as a sysroot" [Open]08:09

seb128lissyx, hey, what about it? does it create visible issues?08:30
lissyxseb128, not sure how much it relates, but we are investigating empty bug reports (following crashes due to OOM on crashing childs)08:31
lissyxseb128, e.g., https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/29af8dbb-c2cd-4aa8-9791-b12f1023092608:31
lissyxseb128, looks like something broke08:31
lissyxseb128, I'm still trying to figure if it broke on our side or on snapd side08:31
lissyxseb128, confere the weird mix of versions / crash reports where we started seeing the 30GB allocations08:32
lissyxI even saw some crashes reported on 113 around mid-july as well, for a suspected change that landed on 11608:32
lissyxlooks like I cannot see the history of snapd revisions pushed to the store though :(08:33
lissyxI really need to reinstall snapd 2.60 snap08:48
lissyxbut since I'm not a collaborator, it's not possible08:48
lissyxwhat is the revision of 2.60 for amd64 so I can manually download and install?08:48
guiverclissyx, i'm not sure how to answer, but a `snap list` for me shows `latest/stable:    2.60.3                  2023-09-02 (20092) 42MB`   I've read blogs on how to download snap packages for install later (Alan Pope wrote one as I recall; he wrote a number after leaving Canonical on snaps) so planet ubuntu, or search his blog if that's what you're after.. I've never needed it)08:58
lissyxpoking around the launchpad API it looks like the releases were 2.59 -> 2.60.1 ?09:15
lissyxso last amd64 snapd stable version pushed to users before 2.60 branch was revision 1972909:16
seb128lissyx, try asking on snapcraft maybe?09:16
seb128I'm not a collaborator for snapd so I don't have more access than you and can't really help09:17

GunnarHjWhy does the MATE customization show up when I open FF in standard Ubuntu 23.10?18:22
jbichacould you provide more details?18:24
GunnarHjjbicha: I'm having dinner ATM, but I can provide a screenshot within an hour.18:27
seb128ricotz, so I'm going back to thunderbird, there is a 115.3.0build2 out now, should we target than one as a security update rather than 115.2.3build2 which is currently in the staging ppa?18:41
ricotzseb128, I guess 115.3.0 build2 would be more appropriate18:43
ricotzseb128, I could provide you a tarball for mantic first, and update the branches once again18:44
seb128ricotz, that would be great thanks. And please don't work over hours for this, that can wait for tomorrow18:45
ricotzseb128, I am going to prepare the package for mantic now18:49
seb128ricotz, thanks19:01
GunnarHjjbicha: Here is the screenshot: https://people.ubuntu.com/~gunnarhj/FF-startpage-23.10.png19:05
GunnarHjI do have MATE installed (can't even remember when that happened), but this is in an Ubuntu on Wayland session.19:05
jbichaGunnarHj: check your apt log. If you happened to have mate-system-monitor installed, a bunch of extra packages were installed today (fix in the mantic unapproved queue for that)19:07
jbichamate-system-monitor is pre-installed by other desktop flavors (Budgie, Unity, Kylin)19:08
GunnarHjjbicha: I do have Unity installed (and that's intentional), so I guess that's why I unintentionally got MATE too. No need to worry then. Thanks!19:10

ricotzseb128, see source package at https://people.ubuntu.com/~ricotz/thunderbird/ - git branch at https://git.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/thunderbird/log/?h=mantic - ppa build at https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages?field.name_filter=thunderbird&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=mantic19:24
seb128ricotz, thanks19:58
seb128ricotz, uploaded to mantic and tagged/pushed to the tag to the vcs20:03
ricotzseb128, thanks, updated the other branches as well20:35
seb128ricotz, great, I will pick that up in the morning20:39
