[07:09] goood morning IRC [07:24] bandali, and it's green this morning :p https://treeherder.mozilla.org/jobs?repo=mozilla-central&searchStr=snap-upstream&revision=11b3d438788a84aecc7e53efdda19bb0814e13be [12:55] lissyx, yay! =) === guiverc2 is now known as guiverc [14:32] bandali, hello :), fyi https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D190161 [17:37] orca pristine-tar 4f92bc8 Samuel Thibault orca_45.1.orig.tar.xz.delta orca_45.1.orig.tar.xz.id * pristine-tar data for orca_45.1.orig.tar.xz * https://deb.li/6BTc [17:52] jbicha: I have seen zero progress on bug 2033688, which is a UX failure for Edubuntu. Has Marco mentioned anything? [17:52] -ubottu:#ubuntu-desktop- Bug 2033688 in gnome-shell (Ubuntu Mantic) "[mantic] gnome-shell fails to follow accent colours" [Medium, Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/2033688 [17:57] Eickmeyer: he was out of office yesterday & today. It's on his todo list but I don't know if he'll be able to fix the bug before release [17:59] jbicha: I guess that's fine. I'm just surprised that UX bugs aren't given higher priority. I mean, for Edubuntu it definitely affects default theming, but for Ubuntu Desktop it affects a major UX feature. [17:59] To me, the attention to UX, or lack thereof, is why we're losing the desktop space. [18:00] Marco understands the accent colours so much better than others do, but he is also good at a lot of things so has other responsibilities 😢 [18:01] no other GNOME distro even has accent colours yet [18:02] It's just frustrating from a UX standpoint. UX has been the achilles heel of the Linux desktop, and when it's not given priority, it's easy to see why. [18:03] I mean, I understand those other responsibilities, and I know there's no ill intentions, I'm just very disappointed. [18:03] Post-install, after the fix has been released, it'll be fine, but it won't show up on the live session. [19:10] ricotz, hey, thanks for the link. do we have a corresponding bug on LP already? [20:54] bandali, I haven't filed a bug on LP [20:56] I guess while thunderbird will require it at some point. an update for all supported series is still considered
