In 6.5 there's new gcc option being used that now complains about incorrectly declared flexible arrays. It's not a real issue but needs fixing. [08:54] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bugs?field.tag=kernel-flexible-array [09:45] This looks to be the problem: https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/latest/source/include/xen/interface/io/ring.h#L98 [09:56] I've noticed that the old GIT URLs such as git://kernel.ubuntu.com/virgin/linux.git havn't worked for a while and all the links on kernel.ubuntu.com/mainline have updated to point to launchpad. I'm assuming those old links are not coming back so should also update the wiki? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds#Kernel_source_code_trees [09:58] chilversc, Yes, not coming back. Will update the wiki, thanks for pointing that out. [11:15] Today we are reviewing a few upload applications... [11:15] Hi y'all! [11:25] Since then I have contributed to multiple part of the kernel lifecycle (tooling, cranking, testing, bugfixing), based on which I would like to apply for upload rights. [11:25] congrats [11:26] Here is my application: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/thibf/KernelUploadRightsApplication [11:26] gagath: hello! [11:27] I've sponsored some linux-ibm kernels prepared by Thibault. They were all prepared with care and some small issues were quickly corrected. He asks the right questions when in doubt. I trust him with upload rights and give him my endorsement and +1. [11:27] Only looked over very few uploads but cannot remember anything to complain [11:27] The kernels that I've reviewed have been good. +1 from me [11:27] I have reviewed a lot of Thibault's kernels, some of them were private, and they were all prepared with attention to detail. Approving him for addition to the team. [11:32] thanks =) [11:33] apw is tasked with adding the new members to the team. [11:33] Calling a wrap; thanks everyone. [11:33] congrats all! [17:45] requesting a scrollback, missed a message intended for me [18:09] ChmEarl: https://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2023/11/10/%23ubuntu-kernel.txt [18:09] ChmEarl: also https://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2023/11/09/%23ubuntu-kernel.txt if that doesn't go back quite far enough [18:10] arraybolt3, ty thats what I was looking for [18:14] glad to help, you can usually use irclogs.ubuntu.com if you need scrollback for any Ubuntu-related channel. (Sometimes the logging bot drops off though so it's not foolproof, but it's pretty good.) === ChanServ changed the topic of #ubuntu-kernel to: Ubuntu Kernel Next development || Ask us anything here, or on discourse https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/ask-us-anything-about-ubuntu-kernels
