-SwissBot:#xubuntu-devel- ::xfce-announce:: ANNOUNCE: xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin 2.8.2 released @ http://www.mail-archive.com/xfce-announce@xfce.org/msg00898.html07:02
bluesabreI'm working on restoring daily builds... but xfce4-settings is failing across the board: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/699840799/buildlog_ubuntu-mantic-amd64.xfce4-settings_4.18.2+git-0~4450~ubuntu23.10.1_BUILDING.txt.gz20:50
bluesabreNot sure if that's breakage in the repo, or missing build deps.20:51
bluesabrehttps://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/ppa for all the goodies that did build successfully.20:53
Unit193* Installation prefix:              /usr/local  is that supposed to be that way?22:28
Unit193I found xfce4-settings 4.19.0 locally, https://paste.opendev.org/show/bZHcomo6NZTcxYRPdG7U/ the hint is in d/rules, bluesabre.23:44
Unit193...I thought that was fixed upstream, or was going to be.  But you're still hitting it in Git.23:45
Unit193arraybolt3: Just got around to reading that.  Well, some of them are "feels", so more opinion than objective.  As you noted, it was posted in Jan and this is Nov, so quite a lot of time has passed.  However, there's also no feedback, if that's what we can expect from Flutter devs then perhaps something else would be better. :323:49
arraybolt3Heh, maybe. I'm willing to do a feature comparison if you'd like.23:49
Unit193As you know I've got some exposure to Calamares, and it's a bit lacking in partition options.  If flutter is even more lacking, well that's not ideal. :P  As you also noted, Flutter is GTK or GNOME based (good for the former, maybe not so much for the latter) which works better for us than you. :323:50
Unit193I mean, I'd find it useful but as I'm biased I'm trying to defer a little to someone else. :323:53
Unit193Is it just Lubuntu using calamares?23:53
