[00:13] LocutusOfBorg: If you get a chance, can you review the sync request here? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fonts-sahel/+bug/2045930 [00:13] -ubottu:#ubuntu-devel- Launchpad bug 2045930 in fonts-sahel (Ubuntu) "Please sync fonts-sahel from Debian" [Undecided, New] === IchabodCrane is now known as Kuraokami [16:30] qa-help: https://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/ is down it looks like. [16:30] In case I didn't get the highlight correct, bdmurray paride ^^^^ [16:35] Luckily there is no iso testing right now [16:39] I mean, there *are* ambitious testers who race to complete all the tests every day, two of which have already pinged me. :P [16:39] * tsimonq2 sips coffee [16:54] Rhonda: o/ It seems that packages.ubuntu.com doesn't show security updates on ports architectures, only on main archive (amd64, i386). It seems this was reported previously at https://bugs.launchpad.net/pkg-website/+bug/1866833; we see it right now on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim-signed (and jammy of course) [16:54] -ubottu:#ubuntu-devel- Launchpad bug 1866833 in pkg-website "Looks like ports-security is not updated" [Undecided, New] [16:59] I guess it tries security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu and finds no entries when it should try http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/ (the security pockets are not split out) [17:34] why is the arm64 version of shim-signed focal different on Launchpad and the Archive? [17:35] https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim-signed [17:35] https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/shim-signed [17:35] * eslerm didn't scroll down first, thanks juliank [17:36] this might be the source of an Ubuntu pro issue [17:42] eslerm: it should be just cosmetic, if pro client is fetching data from there that would be a bug [17:43] also we really should be running this ourselves fwiw and not have Rhonda run it [17:43] unless she wants to I don't know [17:55] @pilot in === ChanServ changed the topic of #ubuntu-devel to: Archive: open | Devel of Ubuntu (not support) | Build failures: http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/ftbfs/ | #ubuntu for support and discussion of Focal-Mantic | Patch Pilots: ahasenack [18:19] thanks juliank [18:20] I'll followup on the pro work [20:30] does anyone know what it means when piuparts says "ERROR: FAIL: After purging files have disappeared"? Does this mean purging a package somehow removed files belonging to other packages? [20:33] arraybolt3: piuparts isn't really used in Ubuntu currently, you might have better results asking Debian [20:34] jbicha: hmm, makes sense, though I am using it to try to make sure a package won't break Ubuntu when synced from Debian [20:35] (building signond is telling me /etc/localtime and some other file seem to have "disappeared" (whatever that means in this context) upon purging the packages, which sounds rather wrong to me, but I have no clue why that would happen, and wonder if it's something I should even worry about.) [20:36] you might not have configured piuparts correctly; I don't know anyone who currently runs piuparts against Ubuntu packages [20:37] Quite possible. [21:30] vorlon: If you have the time, could you check out the sync request and debdiff at vorlon: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2046007? This is that signond package we talked about on the ubuntu-devel ML yesterday.
