[15:50] <daftykins> i had to explain that you can't just give away modern platforms because they'll be signed into accounts with purchase history etc

[15:53] <daftykins> you'd have to muck about with switching between profiles i'm sure
[15:53] <daftykins> but then i think anyone would just factory reset the sucker before trying anything like that
[15:55] <daftykins> in other news i liberated his ex-wife's old iMac which i can prepare and give to a school along with the other one i have here for fixing up
[15:55] <daftykins> and even better, a second file server with RAID controller and 8 x 4 TB HDDs :)
