boyethello, my panel disappears when I click on one of the other virtual desktop button05:14
boyetmy window manager is mutter05:15
lubot[telegram] <eiabruh> that's how it works man05:15
arraybolt3that's... weird though05:17
arraybolt3boyet: what version of Lubuntu is this?05:17
lubot[telegram] <eiabruh> I guess he just means that when he clicks on one of the 4 virtual desktops his tabs get closed (re @lubuntu_bot: (irc) <arraybolt3> that's... weird though)05:18
boyet@arraybolt3 it's lxqt 0.14.1 on ubunto 20.04.605:49
boyetubuntu05:49
boyeti have two panels. one at the top of the desktop one at the bottom.  The top is where my application menu and app launchers and the bottom is my taskbar for the current running programs05:51
arraybolt3Lubuntu doesn't support the Mutter window manager. Openbox is our officially supported WM, although we also use xfwm4 sometimes. Additionally, Lubuntu 20.04 is end-of-life and no longer receives support, so it might be a good idea to upgrade to Lubuntu 22.04 or later.05:51
arraybolt3That being said, if you mean your taskbar *buttons* vanish when you switch to a new virtual desktop, that is expected behavior.05:51
arraybolt3er, no, I'm mixed up05:51
arraybolt3hmm, I thought the taskbar buttons stayed and it was only windows that vanished when you changed virtual desktops. Maybe behavior changed, I don't remember.05:52
arraybolt3I don't have time to check right this second, but I can look into virtual desktop behavior in a bit probably.05:54
boyet@arraybolt3 both the top and bottom panels will disappear06:12
guivercLubuntu 20.04 LTS is EOL as for Lubuntu support.  https://lubuntu.me/lubuntu-20-04-lts-end-of-life-and-current-support-statuses/07:17
guiverc(you can use a Ubuntu support site; Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is still supported; you're just using a LXQt desktop instead of GNOME)07:18
boyet@guiverc thank you very much for the update07:28
