dokokanashiro: what's the rationale for every no-change rebuild for dropping the old ruby version  picking up a dependency on the ruby-defaults in -proposed? that makes an awful amount of packages uninstallable and autopkg tests not being able to install packages, and failing with "unknown" versions.  this is no fun to work with01:23
dokovorlon, mwhudson: https://salsa.debian.org/toolchain-team/gcc/-/commit/d82fb8a8ab7b84f61fb8290a2c3aa2e3f54e7b8a01:48
dokothat means that we are enforcing _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 on armhf, but not on any other architecture. Still thinking about enforcing that for our 64bit archs as well. And unsure about i38601:48
-ubottu:#ubuntu-release- Commit d82fb8a in toolchain-team/gcc "* Pass -D_TIME_BITS=64 together with -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 by default"01:48
mwhudsondoko: does  _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 make any difference on our 64 bit arches?01:55
dokohmm, dpkg-buildflags doesn't pass this at all ...02:00
dokoeven not on i38602:00
mwhudsondoko: as in its tests fail or it doesn't work?02:05
dokono, I just looked, if the flag is passed by dpkg-buildflags02:06
dokobecause on armhf, I have to define both flags, or else glibc raises an #error02:06
mwhudsonoh i think i misparsed02:09

tsimonq2ubuntu-sru, dviererbe: Hello! Was someone at Canonical working on testing this? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/199062115:23
-ubottu:#ubuntu-release- Launchpad bug 1990621 in casper (Ubuntu Jammy) "[SRU] PXE Boot contains wrong suggested link to ISO for live file system" [Low, Fix Committed]15:23
tsimonq2To my understanding, this was planned for .4. Could someone please clarify?15:24
tsimonq2(arraybolt3 was asking above, just some proactivity for any potential respins. Thanks for your persistence!)15:25
dviererbetsimonq2: I have this in my backlog. I tested the code outside of casper, but to be honest I still have to figure out how to trigger the code path within casper as I am not familiar with casper.15:28
tsimonq2dviererbe: Is there Interest in getting this to .4, to your understanding?15:30
arraybolt3I think we're close enough to release it may be best to just let this slide - we're going to go from having 8 testcases left in Lubuntu to having 18 testcases left if a respin is done (not to mention the effects on all the other flavors), and while that would have been easy if this had happened yesterday, it'll be hard if done today and very hard/impossible if done tomorrow.15:30
arraybolt3Maybe we can just skip it this cycle and try again next year or so?15:31
dviererbeFine with me. It's a low importance bug.15:32
tsimonq2Sounds good. Thanks for the input!15:38
sgmooreHello. I am told to ping ubuntu-release in regards to my 22.04.4 ISO being to big. Please forgive my newbness as I am the new Lead dev/ Release manager for Kubuntu and I fear hacking bits and pieces out of the image the day before release is a bad idea especially since I wasn't about when it released. Can we get an increase for this one and I promise to remove the bloat this upcoming LTS? Thanks for any assistance.15:49
Eickmeyersgmoore: Not release team, but fellow flavor lead. Honestly, you shouldn't be afraid to ask for a size increase because applications and the kernel itself simply increase in size. In 22.04.4's case, it's likely just the kernel as I doubt the Kubuntu seed has changed since 22.04.3, so don't worry too much about asking for a size increase. :)15:52
