[19:30] <jrwren> I went to one, moderated a panel at a nother, crashed another, ~20yrs ago. My take away is: giant party.

[19:39] <greg-g> I remember climbing across balconies to get into a hotel room that was locked (but we were supposed to have access to) but $conf_organizer was otherwise occupied (ahem) in their hotel room with a group of folks (ahem)
[19:42] <greg-g> it was epic in who was there that year: Randall Monroe (didn't talk to), Mako, nixternal, Jono, and a bunch of us from the LoCo.

[23:19] <Scary_Guy> Well if anyone knows Stu who ran the "Geeks with Guns" range and DJed the after party a few times he's a good friend of mine.
[23:21] <Scary_Guy> FWIR they didn't actually pay him, it was all volunteer work.  I can understand the range I guess but he's a professional DJ who does weddings and actual events. Cut the man a paycheck!
