mparillo | Has anybody tested the daily ISO on real HW? On Sunday, I chose the install option with all the defaults, and other than Lubuntu branding, I successfully installed in a VM. But with the Monday and Tuesday ISOs, I have tried to burn a USB thumb drive, and when I select the Try option, I do not get a desktop, nor does Ctrl Alt F4 get me a TTY. | 13:46 |
IrcsomeBot | <sgmoore> I will test on hardware today. That doesn't sound good at all. We sure are pushed into a corner on time to test. | 15:14 |
arraybolt3 | mparillo: I got the daily ISO to install on real hardware just recently. | 15:25 |
arraybolt3 | There was one bug that made the install fail but I fixed it and uploaded the fix. | 15:25 |
IrcsomeBot | <sgmoore> Just booted from USB key on real hardware, selected try and desktop comes up as expected. | 15:53 |
mparillo | TY. Must be me. | 19:04 |
IrcsomeBot | <sgmoore> :( does install work? Maybe a corrupt ISO download? I wish I had more hardware to test on. | 19:05 |
mparillo | I only tested install to a VM (and that was with Sunday's ISO). | 19:12 |
mparillo | It is the live USB that seems to stall when I click on Try. | 19:12 |
IrcsomeBot | <sgmoore> Okay, maybe something changed? I used todays ISO. | 19:13 |
IrcsomeBot | <sgmoore> how very strange and I don't know how to reproduce. | 19:14 |
mparillo | Maybe my T410 is just a bit too old. | 19:16 |
mmikowski | sgmoore arraybolt3: we will eventually test on 12 models. | 23:51 |
