IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Morning, folks!!! Back to the Calamares Slides for me, I have a couple hours before my work day starts.05:24
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Hello there... I have completed the 12 Slides, and pushed them to Github. I updated the shared Google Deck, https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1MAt9gCxzJueM5xrS6Dtk9P-g0Lp7GsjnTg9AN_El02A/edit?usp=sharing08:07
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Have to go work my paid day job now. Will apply this lot to the Calamares-Installer-Settings this evening, and then I'll need a little help to get those changes merged in08:10
IrcsomeBot<sgmoore> Thank @Rick_Timmis !11:47
IrcsomeBot<sgmoore> Thanks11:47
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Exciting News Councillors - Part of the Strategic Vision is to assemble a Media Team. We have an applicant who has volunteered and would like to help our project as a Social Media Correspondent:15:15
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> The Social Media Correspondent will be responsible for managing Kubuntu's presence on various social media platforms such as Mastodon, X, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. They will create engaging content, interact with followers, monitor trends, and execute social media campaigns to increase brand visibility and engagement.15:15

IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> My plan would be to get them onboarded to our Matrix, point them at Discourse, and KDE Invent, and get them signed up for that, and then engage them on preparing a short Social Media Reach report ( What platforms, how many followers, which locations etc..) Thoughts KC ?15:15
IrcsomeBot<sgmoore> I am not KC. But wow, that's huge!!!15:45
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Better yet, since that volunteer email arrive, another one has arrived too!! This person wants to help with testing, installing, and buidling stuff YaY!!! I think I better Dance Now!!15:50
IrcsomeBot<sgmoore> hooray!!! good news indeed15:53

sgmooreNice :) I can test after I find a way to fix this 22.04 - 24.04 upgrade issue with pulseaudio.16:44
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> KK, I;ve posted the same onto Matrix: Kubuntu Development, so other might take a look too. If you do look it over Scarlett, maybe it could be packaged ?? I dunno16:47
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Not for this cycle of course, as we're in FF16:47
sgmooreof course, but yeah not for noble I am afraid16:47
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> KC @ahoneybun @RikMills @TwoSwissCats @DarinMiller I sent an Email to KC ML, in regard to extension of contract, please can you take a look and reply 😃16:48
IrcsomeBot<sgmoore> Alright, found the issue and hopefully the fix for the upgrade path 22.04 -> 24.04. pipewire-audio is seeded and does not exist in jammy and thus fails to upgrade. Replaced it with pipewire-pulse ( this is what ubuntu-studio seeds ) and so it should in theory work as that exists in jammy.17:07
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Yes, that sounds corret18:12
IrcsomeBot<Rick_Timmis> Hello folks.. I've welcome Dilip Mohan who is going to step into the role of Social Media Correspondent. We've kicked of an Issue on KDE Invent, to find and document all our Social Media channels. Any that you know of would be very grateful if you can add them 19:40
