[14:52] <kendell> just got a new laptop, an asus vivo book 510. Ubuntu mate 22.04 installs just fine, so does the new lts, 24.04 but the new LTS appears with a broken desktop.
[14:53] <kendell> package manager removes parts of mate then errors out installing others. I'm guessing that's why the desktop breaks. I'm on 22.04 lts for now
