do3meli | Hi everyone. I am using the api https://api.launchpad.net/devel/ubuntu/series to get release information for various ubuntu versions. unfortunately the new noble release has a differente title attribute format than any other release: For example all titles except noble have something like "The Lunar Lobster" or "The Xenial Xerus". Noble currently | 13:42 |
do3meli | has the title "Noble". I was wondering if and how we can get this changed for noble series? | 13:42 |

Elliria | Hey there. The clamtk package is available for Noble Numbat 24.04 LTS: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamtk | 15:21 |
Elliria | The program is no longer maintained as of three weeks ago: https://gitlab.com/dave_m/clamtk/-/issues/144 | 15:22 |

Fantu | hi, trying to install ubuntu 24.04 server minimal + ssh I found some strange things. Installation seems bigger that older LTS, 5.6gb (anyway I don't remember for sure) and many basic tools are missed, for example less, ping, nano (in previous LTS if I remember good was installed by default). Are there changes of the new LTS or was it already done previously and I'm remembering wrong? | 17:03 |
sarnold | i don't have any easy way to spin up 24.04 for a quick test but seeded-in-ubuntu less sure gives the impression that that's still in a lot of images -- same for seeded-in-ubuntu iputils -- my guess is some local troubleshooting is necessary | 19:30 |
Elliria | Hey there. Does anyone know how long it takes to be approved for the ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list? | 20:11 |
tertitten | Hello, I have a question that I'm sure isn't really supported. so if I want to make a custom iso, and I want to debrand the installer, I need to put files into /usr/share/desktop-provision/ basically a file whitelabel.yalm and custom stuff in both images and slides, I'm basically replacing whats there, both with packages and by manually putting my content there.. | 22:36 |
tertitten | -- anyway, in live session later the branding is indeed the default, so basically it must have overridden my content somehow, what's going on there? | 22:37 |
arraybolt3 | Eickmeyer: ^ you're pretty good with branding and installer stuff | 22:39 |
arraybolt3 | (not sure if he'll reply but he's the de-facto installer customization person for the ubuntu-desktop-provision installer) | 22:40 |
tertitten | OK, thanks. | 22:40 |
Eickmeyer | tertitten: It's all documented at https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-desktop-provision | 22:53 |
tertitten | Eickmeyer: thanks! | 22:59 |
