[17:46] <mneptok> From my understanding the open architecture of RISC-V may require specialized installers per platform. At least until a reference platform is created. But it seems wise for Canonical to at least provide public ISO images for users of partner hardware that have pre-installation.
[17:46] <mneptok> Caveat: I'm as useful when discussing RISC-V platform implementation as a whistle on a plow.
[17:51] <Eickmeyer> My guess is it would most likely be a pre-installed image similar to a Raspberry Pi, but I'm purely speculating here.

[19:13] <liushuyu> Eickmeyer, mneptok: RISC-V devices are similar to RPi devices, where different devices will require a different board configurations (like where can the kernel find the peripherals/what are the valid MMIO address spaces etc).
[19:13] <liushuyu> Although, there are some efforts of getting UEFI/ACPI standardized in RISC-V ecosystem, but to my knowledge, most implementations are emulated through U-Boot (somewhat similar to the EBBR [Embedded Base Boot Requirements] thing in the ARM world)
