user|85 | Sorry in advance for the dumb question. But I'm looking to switch to Kubuntu but I'm not familiar with how releases work for this project. I've read that updates like Plasma 6 may be available with Kubuntu 24.10. So if I install Kubuntu 24.04 LTS would I be locked out of 24.10? | 04:31 |
dreamhawk | I have the same issue as described here : https://forums.opensuse.org/t/kde-wayland-some-errors-from-pipewire-in-journalctl/172728 , how can i fix it? | 07:24 |
cocolino | user|85 I am new to Kubuntu as well. But, from what I understand, Kubuntu 24.04 will never have Plasma 6, but if you install it you won't be "locked out". The upgrade from Kubuntu 24.04 to Kubuntu 24.10 will be like a Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrade. Shure it will take a bit longer to install but is just a normal update, no need to reinstall the OS. | 07:42 |
