Glad you found the other bug [17:05] mkukri: fyi about LP: #2072981 I just pinged the Debian maintainers asking if they are planning to update. [17:05] -ubottu:#ubuntu-devel- Launchpad bug 2072981 in bpfcc (Ubuntu) "Update to new upstream version 0.30.0" [Undecided, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/2072981 [17:08] sudip thanks, this is a new main package, and one we advertise as part of the perf tools push. The Debian package also doesnt enable the testsuite we need. That testsuite is also prone kernel update regression prone, so there is likely quite a bit of work for us on update regardless, but nonthless the new upstream version in debian would be welcome [17:16] ack, I will check with them about including the delta when they reply. I am sure they are not aware, none of the delta has been forwarded to Debian [20:34] When submitting a fix for a package, is it better to attach a debdiff and add the Ubuntu Sponsors team to the bug, or get a sponsor for the .changes file wholesale? [21:19] john-cabaj: attach a debdiff and add the Ubuntu Sponsors team to the bug please [21:20] sudip: ack
