[16:36] anyone familiar with the voice synth that dreamtonics made? [17:02] Hello, I am not sure if anyone is here or not or if this is even a reasonable place to ask a question. Just need some quick input. I am using ubuntu studio and just noticed a new behavior. when my mouse hits the rightmost edge of my screen, the whole desktop scrolls to the side to expand available window space beyond the side of the screen. What is [17:02] this feature called? I hate it and want it gone. [17:05] StudioUser44: It sounds to me like you may have accidentally enabled magnification, but not too sure. Never had that happen. [17:08] Thanks for responding. I just tried individually enabling magnification and zoom to see if that was the issue, they seem to be unrelated. [17:10] Currently on 22.04. A month or so ago i did a fresh install of 24.04, and that behavior was also there from the first boot. I was unable to disable it then, and hated it so much i reverted back to 22.04.... It may be a bug, but if it is it is a bug it has very consistent and smooth animations! :') [17:14] StudioUser44: Check your Window Management settings (KWin Scripts) and make sure nothing weird is accidentally enabled there, even setting defaults using the "Defaults" button at the bottom of each settings window or tab. It's not a bug, but there's certainly a setting that got accidentally enabled. [17:14] StudioUser44: Basically, check everything in the Window Management category. [17:17] I appreciate you responding again! I gave that a shot but every sing setting there was on the default still. [17:19] StudioUser44: What kind of video card? Nvidia? [17:19] I think I might have to take a screen recording and make an account with a support forum somewhere. I have nerve damage and because of this my cursor regular hits the edge of the screen, this is killing my ability to work. :') [17:20] Yes, its an RTX 306012gb. I haven't updated any drivers recently though. [17:20] I appreciate your time, by the way. Very nice of you to help a stranger on the net. [17:20] Ok, so check those settings to see if you haven't accidentally made your resolution bigger than your monitor (it has that capability). [17:22] (I'm running out of time, might have to refer you to /join #ubuntu if that doesn't solve it, they support every flavor of Ubuntu) [17:23] Nope, the resolution is correct. I probably should have mentioned earlier that i have two monitors, the behavior only occurs when i hit the rightmost edge of the right screen, but it smoothly scrolls the desktops of both screen to the laft when it happens. [17:23] Thanks again! [17:23] Have a dope day. [17:32] 🤦That means they're overlapping in the display settings.
