[22:58] <arraybolt3> an unclean shutdown with a mounted NTFS partition makes it unmountable in Linux until it's been "fixed" and only Windows has good fixing tools for NTFS.
[22:58] <arraybolt3> (if you don't have a Windows machine you could use Hiren's Boot CD PE)

[23:00] <arraybolt3> then yeah, I'd use HBCD just to mount the disk, then shut down normally and boot back into Kubuntu, see if that fixes it.
[23:04] <linux__> So it was Kubuntu 22.04 with the same ntfs SSD working on it. After the upgrade to 24.04.0 via the update app the drive is unable to mount. So I formatted to NTFS with Ubuntu a couple of years ago and used with the same system. I don't use Win for 6 years.
