OutOfService | Hi. I need to recover the /var/lib/docker folder in a lvm/ext4 partition. I've already unmounted it and placed the virtual disk into anocher linux system. My problem is that I have no room in order to make a backup imagen. I need some advice, please. Which tool shopuld I use to try to recover the data? | 10:03 |
JanC | photorec or some other such tool might work | 11:01 |
JanC | not sure if they know about Docker files | 11:02 |
JanC | but if the file system isn't too damaged it should still work probably | 11:03 |
JanC | there are some forensics-* metapackages; check out their dependencies for a lot more tools | 11:06 |
JanC | e.g. ext4magic, etc. | 11:08 |
JanC | but you might still need quite a bit of space... | 11:09 |
ravage | also maybe getting an external drive for that backup image is still a good idea | 11:10 |
ravage | may be useful for your future backups | 11:10 |

sdeziel | is there a way to tell `do-release-upgrade` to enable `${distro}-proposed` when upgrading? I'm trying to upgrade Jammy -> Noble to verify an upgrade bug was fixed in noble-proposed` (I tried `do-release-upgrade --proposed`, no dice) | 18:25 |
