[05:37] back when I first started using LVM, my VGs were all named 'main' -- and I quickly discovered why having two machines use the same VG name was a bad idea, when I had to move a HDD from one to another for recovery purposes [05:38] now I prefer to name my volume groups the same as the machine hostname -- I wonder if that would be a good default for the installer? === ShadowLabs20725 is now known as ShadowLabs === ShadowLabs is now known as yourmomisstupid === yourmomisstupid is now known as ShadowLabs === n1thc8 is now known as n1thc [08:44] Hi! I am trying to customize an ubuntu 24.04.1 installer iso to autoinstall a server with docker installed and running my pre-built images which I have kept in /opt/Custom_Files by chrooting. The goal for this installer is to bring up a server with all configurations in an airgapped environment. I am able to get docker installed via a custom 22.04 [08:44] LTS iso by following https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/hpc/ubuntu-22-04-server-autoinstall-iso/ and https://trustlesscustody.com/2023/09/11/how-to-install-apt-packages-offline-with-ubuntu-22-04-server-autoinstall/ but the steps are not working for 24.04 . Could someone help me with what changes might have gone into the installer between the two [08:44] versions? [08:44] Behaviour of 22.04 custom iso -> installs ubuntu and docker, auto creates my user and password as well. [08:44] Behaviour of 24.04 custom iso -> Installation fails with a kernel panic [12:14] uh oh why is /etc/sasldb2 world-readable? what are the correct permissions and ownership for it? (it's used by postfix for smtp auth) === hwpplayer1 is now known as pinkychocolate === pinkychocolate is now known as hwpplayer1 === alucardromero5 is now known as alucardromero === ajfriesen166 is now known as ajfriesen16
