IrcsomeBot | <jbjb22> I was using Ubuntu and my computer spend 1 minute to open an open office document with 2200 pages. Then I thought it could be a bad version of open office as I was using the version that came with ubuntu. So Uninstalled Open Office and installed from repository and then open the 2200 page document spent 20 seconds. | 16:33 |
IrcsomeBot | <jbjb22> But then I tried Kubuntu and now that document opens in 7 seconds!!!!!!! | 16:33 |
IrcsomeBot | <jbjb22> Also the RAM that the system consumes just starting the system was 6 Gb in Ubuntu with gnome and it is less than 2 Gb. Gnome is becoming the windows of linux versions, very bad way to follow! (re @Marko: Me..it is the best KDE available. No joke, it is true. I tried Fedora arch and the rest, KDE Ubuntu is far the best. No issues , fast and polished :)) | 16:33 |
